Ipad 2 in stock @ B&H photo/video

Try the target tracker, a # of people have claimed success with it. Further it does seem like stock is improving across the board. You may be able to pick one up at one of your local stores.

I got off of live chat with BHphoto. I inquired and they said they are waiting on shipments. They gave me an eta of 3-4 weeks. I confirmed by asking if I could expect to receive my 32gb White ATT ipad 2 within the next week... "not likely". :(

I ordered on 3/14/11 @~1:00pm PST. Im in california. I'm at the point where I wouldn't mind paying the tax upfront now. So I will begin my long journey in search of the elusive ipad 2.

Target has their RedCard store credit card -- use it and get 5% off your ipad purchase. The tracker has worked well here.

Also watch Microcenter if you have one nearby; their website inventory is usually pretty accurate, although they may still be working through first-day reservations.

Last week it seemed that certain Best Buy and Target (in ATL) both received significant shipments Tues/Wed/Thurs of various models. Both have been pretty dry since then.

It will be interesting to see if shipments to stores resume this week and whether they're of any consequence. I could envision last week's shipments being larger to slake demand somewhat, then supply being more scarce in the next few weeks as more manufacturing capacity is allocated to worldwide demand. Or I could be completely wrong. Anyone's guess right now, it'll be fun to watch.
 
Finally my 16 GB white wifi only unit ordered on 3/15 around 2 PM has arrived and the order has been sent to warehouse to ship and hopefully it will today. I live in NJ, so may be I will receive it tomorrow or the day after?
 
Day 9 from ordering on 3/15, 64gb 3g black still on backorder... anyone else in the same boat?

Same day - 3/15 around 1PM Eastern, but different model - 32GB Black wifi only. My wife's birthday was last Friday and her gift is still backordered. Oh well, I guess she can't blame me for Apple's inventory constraints.
 
64GB White Wifi still backordered, ordered it on 3/14 around 9:15am in store.

Will probably end up grabbing one from Best Buy. The local one had some 3G models and some black Wifi's, so I know they're getting some.
 
my girlfriend ordered a white 16gb wifi only on 3/21 and today the status changed from backordered to in stock and sent to warehouse. :D
 
I've been using this link to hunt for the ipad 2. I just got back with no luck from several stores in my area that were listed as having "in stock". I guess either it sold out just before I was able to make it to the store or the inventory checks aren't that accurate.

Anyone know if apple stores are receiving on a daily basis still? Since their is no inventory check available, Is it just hit or miss?

Just in case anyone is interested, BH has 64gb wi-fi white and 64gb Verizon in stock right now. You can call and order. I switched my 64gb wi-fi black order to white and got it immediately shipped.

Ordered same on 3/15 at 12:45pm. Still backordered. Getting impatient considering confidence from sales agent I'd receive it within a week.
 
I ordered a 32bg wifi black on March 16th around 4pm and it is still in back order.
I just got off the phone with B&H and they said there are about 150 in backorder right now and they are dealing with people that ordered around the 15th right at this point and mine should be coming soon this week.
Not sure how much of that information is true, just got to be patient.

?!!! I ordered mine two weeks ago and it stills says backordered.

On the phone with a rep now...

iPAD 2 IS BEING PROCESSED!

Apparently since I opted for In Store pickup people were able to get in ahead of me, since they have more in their warehouse than they do in store. Thanks to a lovely CS Rep, I was able to snatch the last available 64GB White Wifi only. Thanks for posting this dude!

B&H is awesome no sales tax and faster than apple. Hit or miss depending on model, my gf ordered 16gb white wifi before I did and won't be getting it untill next Monday....good luck guys.

For those who are waiting on the 32gb black wifi (like me), I shot a very considerate email to CS, and the gentleman is being kind enough to contact their vendor regarding the upcoming quantities for that model. He is going to forward me the information they give B&H, should they offer up the right info. He did warn me it might take a day, so I'll report back when I hear from CS again.

Yep I'm in the same boat as you for that model...

I'm thinking about cancelling from B&H and just wait for J&R. I have no idea where I am in line..
 
Good news! My 64GB, Black, wifi+3g Verizon ipad 2, is out for delivery today. With all of the difficulty that many people are having in getting their orders filled, I am truely surprised that my order took only one week to arrive. I ordered it from B&H on 03/22/11. My thanks go out all of you for your very useful posts. I hope that you all are able to get yours soon.:)
 
Just ordered a 16GB white Verizon iPad2 from B&H. Because of this thread, I saw that it was in stock and ready to ship. Can't wait to get it!

Thanks, I am waiting on the same one so let us know what they tell you. I seems that the Verizon 3G models restock a lot quicker and are much easier to come because of their limitation to be used only of the Verizon network while on 3G, in contrast to the GSM/Wifi models. I ordered much later, on the 27th to be exact so looks like I will be waiting a while, unfortunately. B&H reps don't provide much info on the status of the the customers place in order list, nor do they when they will restock. GOOD LUCK ALL!
