I do tend to agree, will compare to my iPad Air tomorrow and do a video of them side by side. Prob best for comparison

Dave

I thought Safari looked slow but the rest looked all right?

iOS 7 was extremely slow for me for the first couple of days on my iPad 2 (On the final release) then it sped up. I assume spotlight indexes itself or something.

Yep, Safari was very slow, and drops / hangs on both the iPad Mini and iPad 2.

Other stock apps seam ok, not tried on any specific 3rd party apps, but if you want a demo just shout.

Yea i know the vids aren't the best but hey so what

I thought the videos were great!

A question.. are the animations jerky or is that just because of the video?

Is there a chance you could show more of the built in Apps plus control centre and notification centre? ten

I'd say that speed will increase as the beta period moves along as well. I can hardly seeing them release an update for the Mini where safari is dodgy considering they still sell the iPad Mini!!

Thank you :D

I am at work now (grave yard shift) but will knock a few together tomorrow for you.

Ok. Can you answer the previous question: are the animations jerky or is that because of your camera? Are the animations as smooth as iOS 7.1.1?

Really weird if the original iPad mini handles iOS 7 so well, what's wrong with the iPad 2 possessing exactly the same performance? Even the iPad 3 constantly stutters severely and drops frames in various situations, even without all those "fancy" translucent blur in most UI (yeah, I mean the final stable version, 7.1.1).

Sometimes one really has to be believe the only reason behind this is Apple being a jerk.

Anyone on iPad 2 with iOS 8 beta 2??

Microsoft office will freeze entire system after iPad went to sleep Wake up he device, you will need reboot the system. iOS 8 beta 2 will boot to black screen on first attempt, will boot normally after second or third try.

EDIT: What made predictive keyboard not available on iPad 2?

Handoff/Continuity won't work because that requires Bluetooth 4.0, which the iPad 2 doesn't support.

Can't be just because of Bluetooth 4.0 I think. 4S has Bluetooth 4.0 but is left out. Not sure exactly why it was left out. Just old I guess.

The 4S doesn't have the WiFi hardware that supports peer to peer WiFi (i.e. WiFi Direct), which is also why the 4S doesn't support AirDrop. This is why Apple requires both BlueTooth and WiFi be on for AirDrop.

The 4S will support Handoff since, as you wrote, it has Bluetooth 4.0. Handoff doesn't use peer to peer WiFi, it uses iCloud.

Handoff does however require Bluetooth 4.0, so it won't be on the iPad 2.
