Can you supply me with the IMEI number of your iPad please as this is going to be required to get the iPad unlocked?
You can find this out by going into SETTINGS, GENERAL then ABOUT.
The IMEI number can be found towards the bottom of the resulting screen.

Dear Simon,
As a summary I have purchased an iPad 2 3G at full RRP (So the iPad 2 32GB WiFi+3G fully belongs to me and has NOT been subsidised by Orange UK) and without a contract. As per every other outlet and carrier in the country I had assumed this would be unlocked. In fact, I even confirmed this with your in store staff (I was told my Vodafone SIM would work).
Since then, as you know I have established the SIM is locked and now unless I sign a contract with Orange it can never be unlocked. Therefore the iPad is not fit for purpose and I was mis-sold.
I don't want a refund, I would like my iPad unlocked.
In addition, having reviewed the Internet there is significant disquiet in the market about Orange's unique policy and many mentions of customers looking to report Orange to their local Trading Standards and the Office of Fair Trading as well as BBCs Watchdog.
I look forward to a prompt response from your service delivery and expect them to change their policy and thus unlock my iPad 2.
