I love the rumors. If the new product is signficantly better I'll pick it up. I'll probably keep the 2 but I know I can sell if for a reasonable amount. These are just gadgets and nothing to get worked up about.

I think it will never. Ome tin next year so i dont care,, but anyway even if ipad5 would come out 2moro i wouldnt mind! Im happy with my ipad2 n i dont need anything else:apple:

I don't think it's such a big deal.

I'll do what I did with the ipad1 --> ipad 2,
which is: Sell the ipad a couple of weeks before the release of ipad2 for a minimal loss, and then buy the ipad3 when it comes out.

I think all these rumors are BS
don't think Apple is stupid enough to ruin the experience for all the millions who just gave them their money a few weeks ago

Not bothered

To be honest, I have just moved to an iPad 2 from an original iPad.

I am yet to really see that there would have been a good reason for me to upgrade, had I not won the iPad 2 in a competition.

I like the lighter weight, slimmer form factor and flatter back, but haven't used the cameras yet (nor am I likely to unless I skype...maybe) and I like the smart cover that I got with the iPad 2, but I don't think anyone with an iPad 1 is missing anything by not having an iPad 2...and I feel the same way about whatever comes next.

I have had an iPhone 3G, an iPhone 3GS and I currently have an iPhone 4, I have had an iPod Touch, an iPod nano (3 different models, to be exact) and now two iPads and to be honest...the upgrade to the next in line is never quite as fulfilling as you hope it will be.

A jump from maybe an iPad 2 to an iPad 4 might be something to get excited about, but not a single generational jump...not worth it. Too evolutionary, rather than revolutionary. And we all know that's Apple's way...evolution advertised as revolution.

I couldn't care less... I bought mine to use, just because they 'might' release a new one doesn't make previous models obsolete!

They'll still play games, display web pages...

September seems too soon, after that I don't know. It won't be a replacement for the iPad 2. It will be an upscale version. This helps Apple multiple ways. They can raise the ASP for the iPad. They can test the new screen in smaller quantities, they suck the oxygen out of Amazon's announcement, they broaden the product line, they conceivably break the trend of introducing products just once a year. Instead of one massive iPad announcement they might have two or even three models introduced at different times of the year. Makes things easier on manufacturing by smoothing out the demand curves.

Whenever it happens is fine with me.

don't care too much. I bought an iPad 1 on launch day, received an iPad 2 for free as a gift, so I can't complain much. I'm more interested in iOS 5, though a retina display and 128GB would perk my interest.

You people are so profound by the thought of having the best thing from Apple in everything and they know that so, YEAH they probably will replace the current iPad 2 with a retina display, cause they know that you all who bought 2's and gotta have the best thing will buy them! Why wouldn't they!? And if they do and you buy it, you will still want them to come out with a new one next spring in order to stay with the product refresh cycle and complain if they don't or get a month or so behind. Get real people! Yes I would LOVE and iPad, but if I got one, I'd run it until it died and then once that happen think about getting a new one!

I personally do not think they will come out with a new one, but its because of those type of people that they would do this.

SOMEONE HAD TO SAY IT...

I wouldnt use it till it broke, but i dont have to have a new one each year. My iPad 2 is great and im sure it will remain great even when the iPad 3 is out.
