if that's the real thing, I don't like how it looks. :(

That's not the real iPad 2 for God's sake...

Apple doesn't put a number after the name, my iPhone 4 only list iPhone on the back...

AJ, you're right. It's the iPad 3. ;)

a general comment about all the on-board speakers to date - a can't believe who terrible they all have been.

I guess the expectation is that one should use headphones when you want quality sound, but I've had cell speakerphones form the 90's that did a better job than my current iphone.

I'm hopeful the newer devides do a better job, but given how they're positioned on device's back - form over function - I'm not holding my breath...:(

I know it's just a mock up...

Why on earth would you put "iPad 2" on this thing? Obviously  has never put a version number on this kind of product. My best guess is that it might look more like iPhone 4 if it's going to be flat on the back. I think with the first iPad they tried to make it look like the clamshell half of a macbook pro, hopefully on the next one they take a little more liberty with the design and put it out on it's own.

I agree. They've never put the # of a product on the back. That makes me think that case mock up is either totally fake or mostly fake.

They can also make speaker holes in the macbook pros so small that dust can barely get in. Why would they put gigantic holes in the bottom/back of a totally portable tablet PC? Is it going to double as a water bottle?

Hurts to read what morons say in this forum.

In ny case, 300000 ipad2 are not nearly enough. The us will consume that number of devices in a weekend!

Alright! Alright!!!! So my mock-up 6000SUX! Do you know how long it took to hand drill the holes on the back?! A long time! By the by, those aren't speaker holes! Just about anyone should be able to see that those are the tendril holes for connecting you Na'vi neurostalk to you iPad. Speaker holes, come on....

very excited about iPad 2. Passed on the first version; however, as an educator, it looks as though the iPad could certainly be useful in the classroom :)

I am an Apple nut but the iPad 2 release really does not interest me UNLESS its got a higher resolution screen. Otherwise my current one will do till 3 comes out. ;)

That grill is ugly.

That's what I thought too, but then again, you know Apple would never actually release something like that!

The problem with the current iPad is that it's too slow. Not the UI itself, but things like the web browser/internet surfing. That's what I'm looking forward to being improved.
