For a while at least. Seems it didn't affect Tokyo too much, and the body count, as of now, is only in the hundreds. Unless that starkly jumps, or the tsunamis affect anything American, this story will die enough for iPad to get its mention on the evening news.

Weeeee, $29 fridge magnetBut I will get my Smart Cover a full week and a half before then.

My order has been cancelled because apparently I bought more than the limited quantity per customer. Well actually I ordered one iPad. Not particularly amused.![]()
The student is a medical student who needed to make some extra cash on his day off. I decided to help him out. Win-win situation.
As a peds resident with scary student loans, I wish I could believe I'd earn enough someday to pay someone $300 to avoid standing in line.![]()

I ordered mine at 4:29am but when I wanted to cancel the engraving Apple says I'd have to cancel the whole order then re-order.
So I re-entered the engraving but when I check on my order the second line of the engraving doesn't show up. Both lines show up in the order change confirmation email, though.
Should I worry?
Wow, mine now says shipped! Sweet
Or you could order one online then and then pop into a store today. If you get one you can always cancel the online order because they only charge you once it's shipped.![]()
I think their point is that Android's tabbed browsing is one-touch rather than the two-touch tabbed browsing of iOS, which is more convenient, but the tabs chew up real estate, which is actually a bit of a problem on the Xoom because it's widescreen format increases the horizontal but reduces the vertical relative to the iPad (in landscape orientation), and the Xoom loses real estate at the bottom for its task bar, so it really is painful to lose the real estate at the top to the tabs.
Interesting how they brand the Verizon one on orders and email but not ATT. I don't know how the carriers could influence Apple into not making them interchangeable. They aren't subsidizing them. If Apple isn't doing it I would guess the engineering hasn't been worked out yet. The huge number of SKUs is very unApple like.
This is a good idea, never thought about this strategy.
