If I remember correctly I saw a picture of the real Steve holding iPad 2 dangling from the screen protector during his launch presentation of the thing... I like this fridge version, puts LG's internet fridge to shame!!!

While a super magnet may be fine, it's not needed here. I found that even one of those promotional business card-style magnets will do the trick when placed in the area running between 2.5" - 3" down from the power button within the screen's "border". Although a stronger magnet is desirable, as the card type doesn't have a very effective range, so, when attached to a cover, even a slight movement away from the iPad will trigger it on or off...
