Ive been trying from 12:30 not a single order has gone through!!!!!!!

Same here... Been trying to order since 12.30... Keep getting Ooops message... ********* idiots... Seriously piss poor service. I'm giving up and going to bed, gotta get up for work in the morning. I could have had a decent nights sleep; now i'm gonna be shattered at work all day tomorrow with nothing to show for it but a bad temper! This has really pissed me off! :( :(
 
Argos phone system has had the iPad 2 catalogue numbers from earlier in this thread updated. You can now differentiate between wifi & 3G by the price. It tells you size still. Just doesn't differentiate colour.

I've got the 16 Gb ones. Not tested the rest as I'm shattered.

i have been trying for 45 minutes and nothing... i keep getting the oops and other error messages. I tried with normal, with 1 click with guest... everything and nothing and no it doesnt even let me log in anymore... :S :S
 
Right... I have a web order number, but nothing is showing in accounts, nothing in 1 click orders, no email... but the iPad and Cover are still in my basket! I dont get it!

Join the club, we have t-shirts. Confusing, confusing t-shirts.

Considering the site now appears to be properly dead and I got a web order number I'm gonna go with the 'sod it' approach. If it's there in the morning, great. If not I'll try and get an order in when things have settled down a bit. Or possibly stick with the iPad 1 for a while longer.

Gotta say though this really is silly. The site was running fine when everything went live (i.e. no slow down) yet still had massive problems when it came to actually taking the money. Really poor planning from Apple, I can't believe that the on-line demand is THAT high after midnight.

I ordered by normal and have the mail.

I ordered the iPhone 4 via one click and that went through ok - I think it reserves you one straight away as otherwise it would be pointless.

Right... I have a web order number, but nothing is showing in accounts, nothing in 1 click orders, no email... but the iPad and Cover are still in my basket! I dont get it!

After half an hour of attempting to place an order the 'normal' way, I resorted (grudgingly) to a 1-Click order. I have a PDF copy of my 1-Click confirmation with all present and correct... when I click '1-Click orders' on my account page the order claims to only contain a couple of items from the order (not including the iPad), and the full order remains in my basket...

Oh well, I'll see what order confirmations I have in the morning.
 
After numerous tries, I only managed to get it through with the one click. I have an order number, but no email confirmation and an error when I search for the order. What now?
 
Lets hope so.

I think everyone who ordered via 1-click still has those items in their basket for some bizarre reason; pretty sure thats not meant to happen, even with 1 click!

Apple website has quite literally ground to a halt. Guess that's the end.

Will try to pick up an iPad from a retail store at a later date. Pain in the ass, since I need one for work.
 
Guys, chill.

One click clearly states that it takes 90 minutes to process, so it's not going to appear in your account for up to 90 minutes is it?

Click on 'your account' then 'view one-click orders'

its there and you can make changes to it within 90 mins if you like - so you can remove the items etc... then save it again.

hang on>>> it seems to have vanished now..from the one click orders menu.. rubbish!

Me too, I'll check it in an hour to see if I get the email otherwise it might be a queuing job :(
