I have to agree with several of you guys. Its a killjoy to see the new products in advance which makes the presentations less exciting, but yet I'm drawn to this kind of news. :)

Wauw, I'm not sure I can live without my iPad for so long. Especially when not knowing when iPad 3 is on sale? Well perhaps it's a good exercise. :)

Since when did Prince start doing the music for MIC gadget!? That tune ruled! - I kept expecting for a high pitched scream from the Purple One.

and they (apple) won't.

in regards of the battery life, i think it's really going to miss a lot of expectations.. thats if it does indeed receive a quad-core and/or 4G/LTE.

BUT, i'm still going to get one. :p

People don't watch the keynote to see the new Apple products anymore. They just watch them to see what things in the keynote are what they expected to be there.

All I ever hear these days is the iPad is expected to have this and expected to have that and expected to do this and expected to do that.

I think most articles go like this these days.
"blab blah blah expected blah blah blah expected expected blah."
Does not matter what the blah blah is. it's all the same.
X person or people expect this or that from Apple. And they will be happy or sad in the future whether or not Apple does what they have expected Apple to do. No variety. All mindless sheep with the same articles.

You wouldn't want the one in the video though! It has no guts...:) I'm still not sure that the camera position will be the same, despite that. There was a thread running about it being slightly larger, and offset.

I still dont get the smart cover. It's got to be the worse possible option for a case. The second you put that iPad down, the back of it will be scratched to pieces!

You cant beat a third party front & back one IMO.

Agreed, I used mine once, then attached the Griffin clear rear cover. The SC is now for sale...I'm amazed at how many people still use them...A gimmick and one that can as you say, cause scratching and damage.

This made me lol that little bit :)

I always place it on the table SC down... It would be a bit pointless to leave it on its unprotected side, don't you think?

I hate all these recent posts of people believing they have parts of the real iPad 3. I doubt Apple would allow this to happen as easily as it has.

So its looks exactly like the iPad 2, yet all of you are getting over excited as if you have never seen anything like it before LOL

Fanboys, gotta love 'em.

I find it funny how much Apple allowed this product to leak. It is like companies don't care about corporate secrets any more. One of the most leaked products ever. To be fair it wouldn't hard to predict Apple's product line up for the next few years.

if they try to take down these kind of rumors or do anything serious about it... people will know that the rumors or leak is true.

keep that in mind.

I wonder if it will come in Black :O

When Apple sent the media invites. they included a picture of a black iPad... i'm sure there will be a black iPad.

----------

meh, i've seen pics of the a5x circuit board and the retina display is out there, I expected to see someone gather ALL the parts and turn one on by now.

Some of the Parts were pictured in a factory.

It'd be funny if this was set up by apple. Then in the keynote:
Tim Cook: Haha you rumour makers. Did you actually think we'd make it thicker? Shame on you.

I have no problem with it being thicker, just to know. I'd rather have it thick and powerful with a long battery life than thin and underpowered. Thickness is only a problem if it's uncomfortable. And the ipad 1 which I hel is far from that.

totally agree with you. I don't see the point of upgrading to the ipad 3 if you have an ipad 2. I would understand people upgrading from their ipad 1 but not from the ipad 2. spending 500 or 600 just because of a better display, better camera and a better processor, its not like you do a lot of demanding stuff on an ipad. I find it funny how people these days just waste money. People should stop squandering their money and do something productive with it.

You sound like a socialist right up Obama's alley. This is America... and we are all free to do whatever we want with our own money... and not have someone TELL US what we need to do with it.

these guys only have the shell, it doesn't mean they have any clue about if it"s gonna really be a retina display or if it will have siri, that's pure speculation

So with the 2 devices side by side I couldn't see a noticeable difference in thickness. Coming from an iPad 1, the device will be much lighter for me anyways. So long as the battery life stays consistent, sounds and looks like a quality upgrade.

Can't wait!!

Sell the iPad 2 for $350, buy the new iPad for $499... not that outrageous.

Rumors, predictions, and whatnot ADD to the fun.

Rumors, predictions, mockups, "accidental" sightings, and even a few "leaks," add to the fun and excitement. I've been an Apple fan since 1989, and it's nice to have Christmas spread around the year. Used to be that everyone would clamor for Macworld in January. Now we have March, June, August, etc. If nothing was ever known about a new product until the day of its release, think of all the fun we'd be missing. Ever plan a big trip to some exotic place? Planning is half the fun.

You know, thinking about it, it's amazing that Apple has an event just a few days away, and people are ravenous about this device, and the best EVERYONE all together, around the world, can come up with is this video of an empty shell as a "hot scoop." They seriously have incredible control, and sometimes the desperation is just silly. It's 3 days away for god's sake. As for the music in the video, meh. I enjoyed Purple Rain when it came out, I guess.
