Have you recently attempted to sell an Air 2?
You took the exact words out of my mouth. The two most complaining members on MR (in regards to what can't get that the U.S has) are the UK and the Canadians. Yet there are many things they get that the U.S. doesn't and I don't see the U.S. members constantly complaining about it. I wish we could get free healthcare like they do in Canada. I would trade a holiday iPad deal for that any day of the week.![]()
Ha I bet it does. After giving my wife my old iPad Air 2, getting the iPad Pro, returning it, and now getting the iPad Air 2 again - it feels so small!!!
I haven't had any issues with iOS 9.iPad Air 3 with Apple pencil support and a better screen is on my wish list. iPad Air 2 is a good device only crippled by iOS 9 and updates that sometimes cause bugs.
125-150 off a device more than a year old is just standard pricing to me. Nothing special. Not a great deal. We'll see this pop up all the time. Same with 100 off watches and iphones this late in the cycle.
Yes. But its still the current standard sized flagship ipad. $125-150 drop is significant for top tier apple
Very tempting but I just can't do it. It's that damned screen and chassis vibration problem that keeps me away. Ugh. I'll have to wait for the 3 and see what they do.

I did almost the same thing. I gave my wife Air 2, than I got the Pro. I have been thinking about returning the Pro. Then went I ahead bought the Air 2 again. Now I am having hard time letting go the Pro.

This is what I was trying to say before it got all twisted 2 ways from Sunday.
You're talking about an over 1 year old device that is going to be replaced soon one way or another (either in 3-4 months or 9-10 months).
It will be $100 off MSRP as the standard price once the new model comes anyway- all old iOS devices go down $100 when the new one comes out.
What I had said earlier was I will wait to see what the Air 3 offers and then make a decision. If the Air 3 isnt that big an upgrade (which I still think it will be with the A9x and possibly 3D Touch) then an Air 2 will still be about the same price it is now. It's not a "special" deal you won't see again anytime soon.
It's like buying a car at the end of the model year before knowing if the new one will substantially change or not; even if its the same full price and not discounted it may be worth that full price (versus discounted older model). If they dont overhaul it and you can get the old model year at a discount then its a well worth it informed decision.
Although the device is over 1 year old, the iPad Air 2 does have the longevity factor going for it. It's not limited by a slow processor or low ram. Many people will get at least another good year and half out of it; therefore it's still a valuable deal. If this tablet wasn't lightning fast I would be speaking a different note, but I'm looking forward to the iPad Air 3 as well. I definitely would not tell others to not buy the iPad Air 2. If anything, get it now and enjoy it but sell it once the iPad Air 3 comes out if you really have a need for the latest and greatest.
Not having them side by side i wonder how much faster, the iPad air2 is then my old iPad4?
I have played with the iPad2 air at BestBuy but their service provider and WiFi is not even close to what i have at home with my WiFi and cable.
How have the iPad2 air been holding up? My old iPad4 is really built strong, first bought a protection type case but found it not needed. For many day to day tasks the performance diffence won't be huge. Depends on the apps and what tasks you're doing. The Air 2 has beefier hardware no doubt but again, mileage will vary depending what yer doing.
