Im wondering if there's supply issues specifically with the cellular models?

I pre-ordered within 5 minutes of the site going live and my pre-order (for a wifi+cell model) is still showing "processing" while I keep seeing other orders shipping days ago...

Also, plenty of WIFI models in stores, but no cell models?

I think it has been consistent in previous years that the cellular models are a week or two behind the WiFi models

Nope! I called a local Apple Store yesterday and they didn't even know that had the WiFi models in. I pulled up the Apple Store app this morning and start my order, but it still shows "Coming Soon" for cellular. I'm just going to wait until they are in stores and go pick it up. I seem to remember it was a week after WiFi models were available, that the cellular ones were available. But I'm old and my memory does fail me at times.

This is one of those times. I walked into my local Apple Store last year on launch morning and walked out with a 32GB space grey wifi + cellular. Yesterday that same store had all colors and capacities, but in wifi only, and no idea when they'd have cellular in stock.

Nope. See my above reply.

Guys, what do yout think about the following. I really was thinking about getting an iPad Air 2 (would be my first iPad), but I'm tending to think I should just probably get a last gen iPad mini for almost half the price. Actually, I don't really feel the need of an iPad, never felt really... my life is already plenty comfortable with my MBA and my iP5. And now that the last year's mini became pretty affordable, I guess now I could jump on the iPad train without spending a whole lot of money on something that I don't particularly need but I am definitely curious about.

I think you should get the last gen iPad Mini and send me $50 for the consultation. Can someone really say something on this forum, that would make your buying decision for you? If so, I would suggest you buy the cheapest one possible - live a little - and if you really like it you can get a new iPad Air next year. If you don't like it, you are out less money. However, for me the TouchID is a game changer.

I will be curious to see how well the iPad Mini 3 does in the last quarter of this year.

I'm of the opinion, like others, that it really is not worth the upgrade this time round if you already own a iPad Mini 2

Just waiting on the numbers...

No 32gig option? Jesus!
16 are not enough and i won't pay extra for the 64gig version as i don't need that much storage. I guess they don't want my money!

You would have paid the current price for a 32GB historically, instead you're getting 64GB.

Apple has doubled your space basically, for what you would have paid anyway.

Please excuse me, I have to go face-plant a desk because of this reasoning.

WiFi + cellular models just hit the Denver area this morning. I cancelled my online order (2 weeks out for delivery) and put in a store pickup order at Aspen Grove for a Grey/128GB/W+C.
