iPad iPad Air 2 pre-order/launch UK

Hopped out of bed this morning because I was excited about preordering.
Ended up in work earlier than normal and I'm just sitting here refreshing. 🙄
 
I remember last year when the Air was released, I walked into my local store about 3pm on release day and still walked out with an Air 128GB cellular silver.
 
Was just chatting with an Apple Online Store rep, they have absolutely no idea, or that they can't tell: "At the moment there has been no official time given for when this will be available."
 
iPhone 6 was a bit of a fiasco but some people managed to get in about 08:09** ... but had to do crazy things like using a different browser!

I could only get in on Chrome

Managed to get iPhone 6 order in by 8.09!!!!! But this just isn't open yet - grrrrr

She told me to "come back regularly throughout the day".
 
Can those in the UK start hitting that live chat and seeing if you can't get the rest of the world some news here?
 
I'm assuming sales will start at the same moment world wide.
As the New Zealand store is mentioning October 18 as starting date for the preorder, orders will not start in at least the next four hours, as it is October 17, 8.32pm in NZ right now.
