iPad iPad Air 2 pre-order/launch UK

I'm surprised this thread has died. Have not that many people here in UK pre-ordered one. Anyway my AppleCare Plus shows as dispatched as of Saturday but my iPad is still showing as processing. Dispatch is however showing as being between the 22nd and 24th so hopefully it will see movement soon.
There is no 32GB, the 64GB is now priced the same as 32GB was previously.
No mistake.
I'm in Britain and I preordered. Kinda in the same situation as you though: I ordered a smart case and an Air 2 but both are still processing. I've not been charged yet either, whilst everyone else from across the pond seems to moving along at a much faster pace...

Delivery Date
My order is showing the same status and dates. I certainly can't see it arriving on the 22nd October, that is way too optimistic.
I have to say considering it's Monday PM and the status is still showing 'processing' I'm not confident about the 24th October.

I'm assuming this first batch will be shipped from the UK so it's quite likely we'll not see any movement until a couple of days before? Mine is showing as delivery between 23rd (Thursday) and 27th (Monday) so I'm trying to be patient and ok with seeing no change until Wednesday at earliest!

Yup, I wouldn't be expecting any to start shipping until tonight or tomorrow at the earliest from somewhere in the UK with next day delivery.
I think non engraved stock will already be hitting our shores and tracking provided from there whereas engraved items may already show tracking since it is coming direct from the factories.

The delivery quote we were given was for dispatch in 2-4 business days and delivery between 22nd and 24th. Taking business days as Mon-Fri, that means dispatch on Tuesday-Thursday and delivery Wednesday-Friday.
In itself, that seems to indicate a next day delivery when dispatched (i.e. dispatch from the UK). If that is correct then they still have over 24 hours to dispatch them for a Wednesday delivery. Theoretically it is still possible for a Tuesday delivery (not going to happen, but still possible in theory).
In other words, there is still plenty of time for a Wednesday delivery, let alone Friday.

I don't know why iPhone is so much popular than iPad. For me iPad is more important. I'm trying to use it whenever I can.
I have iPad mini 2. Looking forward for new one. Giving mine to wife. I think the touch targets is too small for me on mini. I need more RAM and bigger screen. Speed should be nice too. After buying mini 2 I for some reason stopped read comics. I hope Air will fix it. I also hope it more comfortable to hold in bed.
