Have you never received a package you had to sign for before? If you want a smaller delivery window then you can pay the extra $5 for the 5pm to 8pm slot. Apple did not offer "Priority Overnight." That has a delivery commitment of 10:30am. Yes, it's more expensive. Then there is "First Overnight" with a 8 a.m. commitment. It's a LOT more expensive. Apple gave you FREE next day shipping. Be happy with that and use the options I listed that are available to you if you don't want to sit around all day.

I did not know. Fedex has always come to me before 10:30am...So I guess that was luck and Apple refusing to cut corners.

We are both in the same boat, at least we both know nothing is individually wrong with our order:D
 
Out for delivery!!!

At 8:25 AM on FEDEX delivery truck from Canoga Park, CA. Both of mine are coming Priority Overnight from Apple. Still says delivery by 10:30 AM PST. About an hour and a half ago they were also stuck at the sorting facility in Ontario, CA. Looks like they are behind on some of the scans. It is at least a 3-4 hour drive between Ontario and Canoga Park! If yours says at sorting facility and scheduled for today, check it regularly for updates. I may not be here so I pre-signed for it and put the paper on my front door, so they will leave it.

This was sooooooooo much smoother than using Verizon. Will never buy from Verizon again. They were a mess with my iPhone 6 Plus's.

Going to be a big weekend of Apple tech stuff!

Mine was delivered about 8:30 this morning. I thought signature was supposed to be required, but FedEx just rang the bell and left it at the front door.
 
I checked my orders & there's no change. Still at Processing with dates the end of the month & into November. So I decided to check store stock & my Apple Store has them! Cool, I think, I'll pick them up & cancel my orders. But first, I check my credit card & sure enough, the full charges for both are pending. But, nothing shows in ups or fedex for me & nothing new on my support profile. How long before shipping do they generally charge the credit cards?

My card showed pending charges as of Friday, the day I ordered. IMO pending charges don't mean anything.
 
Same here with a preparing to ship date range of 11/3-11/7. I wonder if AT&T has any in stock at their stores. If there's no shipping update by Monday, I might just cancel my pre-order and head there to buy one.

Just got mine in Phoenix, a cellular Gold 64gb. My delivery estimate was before 10:30AM, but I didn't get the notification text until 10:45, when I was thinking they were late. Turns out it had been sitting outside my front door since 9:55am. Regardless, hope everyone enjoys their's and gets it soon if still waiting.

No sooner did I say this than did fedex show up at my door step.
 
I placed an order of a 64 GB space gray LTE model that's ready for pickup at Apple. I'll cancel my AT&T preorder, or just return it. It was done with next, so I only have $50 worth of tax tied up in it anyway. And now I'll get the $100 dollar credit. And I saved $20 with my government discount.

I gave up. The precise model I want is sitting at the Apple store down the street from me, so I easily ordered it online for in-store pick-up. Took less than an hour between placing the order and getting the notification it was ready for pick-up.

I will get it on my way home from work this evening. My pre-order order never left the "preparing for shipping" stage. I had to call Apple to get it cancelled, but that was easy too.

Good move, it's available at my Apple Store too:eek: guess I have to wait now that it's on the truck.

It's in the Delivery time frame but not real happy how they handled pre orders this time, last year I got mine when the store got them.

I think I'm the last one to get shipped for the 24-28:D
 
Ordered a iPad Air 2 Wi-Fi + Cellular 64GB - Space Gray @  online store right after open on the 17th. Just moved to shipped. A UPS shipping label has been created.
 
Walked into an Apple Store this morning and easily bought an LTE 64GB Silver, no need for pre order

The Silver one is better IMO after owning the gold one. The white feels more white. I'm still sticking with the gold.

Only nice thing about the gold if the gold ring around the Touch ID. Silver just looks too nice to pass up
 
Took the day off work to wait delivery from the FedEx guy. No problem the dog normally howl like a wolf when anyone comes to the front door and the wife was home as well. Bugger mid day just caught out the corner of my eye though the bedroom window the FedEx truck pulling away from the curb.....arhhhh !

Left a nice note saying delivery rescheduled for Monday :(



Update: Mr FedEx came back at 7:30PM to retry delivery. Awesome and thanks for coming back. I guess he had lots of deliveries to crazy apple owners today. Anyways thanks FedEx for coming through :)
