iPad iPad Air 2 - US LTE (cellular) Status/Shipping/Delivery Updates

I'm assuming no AT&T pre-orders arrived today?

I stopped by an AT&T store today and they didn't have any in-stock. They expect to receive inventory by the end of next week. Probably around the same time I'll receive my delivery.
 
I got it!


But it wasn't easy. UPS left a note on my door at 2:03pm PDT saying they attempted to make a delivery and would come back Monday. I was at home, they made no attempt to ring the bell or knock. I would have heard it.

I went online with them and they basically said that there was nothing they could do. They had no way to contact the truck to try again, and that I should just wait until Monday. I told them I took the day off without pay just for this delivery and would not be able to receive it Monday. They didn't seem to care.

I asked for the number of a supervisor. They took my number and about 20 minutes later, they said the truck would make a return trip an hour later.

At 4:03pm, the driver was at my door, anxiously ringing my doorbell.

I ordered late in the day on pre order day from Verizon and my ship date has been steady October 31. My card has not yet been charged.

I ordered through Verizon also with a ship date of 10/31. Saw a slight change in order status today. Doesn't say shipped but changed from ship date to now an order # with a tracking number box with no tracking number in it lol. But it is a change.

I went to Apple and they had a ton of them.
 
Mine came around 1pm Friday. Didn't play with it until later in the evening as we were binge watching Alpha House today. Screen is nice and bright with a noticeable reduction in glare/reflection. Feels about the same in my hands (weight/thickness) so I think we've outgrown the "omg its so thin" moments.

Love the midnight blue smart case.

Apps load quick. Impressed and happy.

It's in the Delivery time frame but not real happy how they handled pre orders this time, last year I got mine when the store got them.



I think I'm the last one to get shipped for the 24-28😀

Well the Apple Store didn't get them till Friday . Blame the FCC I say lol .

I screamed from the roof on this forum not to pre order and just buy from the store

I walked out of the Apple Store yesterday morning with my LTE Air 2 and had it my hands before 99.9% of those who pre ordered and were waiting for shipments
 
Posted something on the AT&T Community Forums. No response from anyone at AT&T. This is crazy. The stores don't hsve stock either.

Greetings friends,

I have been very keen on checking this forum for updates regarding the shipping/arrival status of our new toys.

Like some of you, I preordered my iPad Air 2 through a carrier (Verizon)...it seems as though our "endeavor" is taking the longest...

I just wanted to provide an update to my fellow brothers and sisters whom also happen to be waiting. I ordered on the 17th about noon. My status has not changed.

Also - it's getting increasingly difficult to determine where/how people purchased their iPad when a response only might include, "Yay got mine!" or "Sweet my status just changed". Might I suggest a simple tag in the beginning of update posts (mine for example)? I suspect it will help some of us that are crazily waiting know if a status change has the potential to affect them.

Congrats to those that have received their new iPad and best wishes to those still waiting.

Verizon Pre-Order (10/17) Shipped (10/25)

Thanks everyone for the updates! I have been checking this site for the past week and figure I would share my update.

I pre-ordered a 128GB Space Grey iPad Air 2 from Verizon on 10/17. I just received notification from Fedex that it has been picked up (10/25) and is scheduled for delivery on Tuesday (10/28).

When I check my order status on verizonwireless.com it says it shipped on yesterday (10/24).

Status: SHIPPED
Ship Date: 10/24/2014
 
For anyone who pre ordered from AT&T, call the 877 number.

Just checked mine and it moved from back ordered to processing.

FWIW, I was in my local Apple Store in Walnut Creek, California this morning, and the Apple genius told me they had had no cellular iPads in at all, and had been told they would not get some until October 30. I would be shocked if AT&T carried them so soon.
 
I cancelled my online order after I found the Apple Store had the Space Gray, 128, Cellular in stock. Drove the 75 miles round trip and picked it up.
 
The 128 Space Gray I ordered from Verizon is finally moving. I should get it by Tuesday.

Maybe just sold them all out . Few stores says check availability in New York but most say in stock for the one I wanted at least, the iPad Air 2 gold 128gb cellular
 
So glad to see this at my local Apple Stores...

Most of us who ordered directly from the carrier are sitting here waiting with no answers and every single Apple store around here has stock of one of the more "in demand" colors/storage sizes.

Guess we just sit here and wait. Same as the people who pre-ordered on the 19th of September for an iPhone 6/6+ and have shipping dates late in November.

 
Received Mine...

Looks like this thread isn't getting much activity anymore, but FWIW I received my 64gb Space Gray LTE this afternoon (2 full days ahead of my originally scheduled delivery date). Safari promptly froze upon first use but otherwise it works great. North side of Chicago.
 
I received mine too today (iPad Air 2 64GB LTE Gold). I ordered on the 19th around 11am on the apple website. It was sent UPS 2 day delivery and was shipped out last Thursday. I love it. I had an ipad 3 so this is a huge upgrade.
