My silver 128GB also just changed to preparing for shipment. Keeping my fingers crossed it originates from the UPS hub an hour and a half away in Harrisburg, PA and I get it tomorrow.

Preparing for shipment!

64gb SG LTE ordered just after the shop re-opened.
Shipping to Seattle, WA.

Ironically, I'd decided to change the shipping address and now I can't. I think someone mentioned there's a way to do that with UPS - can anyone tell me how?

Are those of you that just switched to preparing to ship seeing the device show up in your Apple Support Profile? Support Profile

You can reroute if you are a UPS MyChoice member - there is a small charge for the reroute.

iPad Air 2 GOLD 64GB US LTE- preparing for shipment! (NYC)

And has not shown up on my profile yet... :):)

One tidbit: the Engadget review said that the LTE unit they provided with included a carrier-branded SIM and not an Apple SIM.

Hopefully it will be like my iPhone 6 and be shipped overnight and I'll get it tomorrow!

iPad Air 2 Wi-Fi + Cellular 128GB - Space Gray just changed to preparing for shipment. Not showing in support profile yet.

I don't know how that is even possible considering Apple didn't sell a carrier branded iPad here in the US.
It was likely an early review model.

Right. From the Engadget review:
My review units came with carrier-branded SIMs, but the Apple-specific chips should come preinstalled when they're shipped. (If you prefer a non-supported carrier, such as Verizon, a new chip will be provided for you.)

This lends some credence to the theory that the (minor) delay of the cellular models compared with the wifi-only models was related to the Apple SIM. You'd have expected the review units to come with the Apple SIM, if it was ready-to-go.

Probably.... I was thinking the same thing earlier.
