they should come up with a univeral way to label ipad apps. it would seem more like apple then.

also would all these show up on the ipad with the 'for ipad' name?
like would it show up as fieldrunners for ipad or jsut a field runners?

So no update path if I already own iPhone version. I'm looking at Nanosaur 2 for iPad and it's 9.99. That's not right.

Well, that isn't entirely true. For example, I just saw that the logmein ignition app for the iphone was updated, FREE to download for owners of the iphone app. I simply downloaded it to my itunes and will sync it ONLY with the ipad when I get it tomorrow. So, one I don't have to pay for both apps and two I don't have to have the upgraded one YET at least on the iphone
That app, like all universal apps, should sync both to your iPhone and your iPad. The free update should sync to your iPhone right now, and when you pick up your iPad and sync it, all your apps should sync to it, and that universal app should operate in its iPad native mode, as opposed to your 'old' iPhone apps which will operate in pixel-doubled mode.

That's how my TrackinU update works, every owner got a free update yesterday, and that update will continue to work on phones and also sync and update onto the iPad, running in its native mode, both with the version 2.0 features I added.

Developers have the ability instead of going universal, to split their apps into two separate ones, iPhone and iPad. This is a sleazy^H^H^H^H^H^H valid choice to force^H^H^H^H^H let you buy the app twice.

OH! Maybe the update won't sync with your iPhone because you haven't updated it to the latest system? Universal apps require 3.1 or perhaps 3.1.3 depending on what the developer did.

Developers specify the name that appears under the icon and the name that appears on the App Store separately, so I expect the "for iPad" suffix that seems to have caught on won't be filling your actual iPad's display.

Per our reports, my company actually sold a few iPad apps yesterday.

Be sure to check out Ace Omicron! We made it a "universal app" so anyone can buy it only once and enjoy it fully optimized for all Apple touchscreen devices: iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.

It's the definitive iPad survival space shooter!

I'm getting my iPad tomorrow morning at Apple's Tice's Corner Store in NJ! I can't wait!
