I think many of the problems you have with the android marketplace is the fact that it is not the app store. Now let me explain, you have been using the app store for sometime and have many apps you like and are comfortable with how it looks and works. Well I had an android handset before I ever used the app store. I got used to how it works and to this day I still prefer the android market design. Matter of personal preference.

I am not sure what you are looking for as far as productivity. The game part I know I am in the minorty but I could care less about games on my phone or tablet. And saying because things are free they are just trials. The android marketplace has many very solid free apps where most things that are worth anything you must pay for in the app store.

What are you going to do when they change it. 'Lock' it down (for lack of a better word) like the App store. What about when Google opens it's rumored music store and they come out with iTunes like software that has to be used as per the music industry ? Will you still feel the same way? I feel its coming, and possibly sooner than you think.

Would you pay $70 more for an premium iPad with: SNIP...

You know how I know you're just gnashing for attention?

You're comparing a device that has been out for some time with a device that's just about to come out; it's the equivalent of comparing the iP4 to the 3GS, and then saying "Ha! My new phone is better than your old phone"....

It's really rather childish. That, or you really just are that ignorant-- your pick. Regardless, any comparisons at this point are rather baseless; until someone gets their hands on an iPad2 (since Apple won't share specs), no real elucidations can be made.
