Just syncing my iPad for the first time. And I am in utter AWE at this display it is utterly gorgeous. Fits all my apps so far with ease. Loading some HD content on it to see how it handles it (Cloudy with a chance of meatballs in 720p). I'm smitten

Just connect the dock to the mains adapter supplied using the iPad/USB cable supplied. The mains adapter has USB out.

My case arrived today. It was sent to me in a jiffy bag from some address in London. It looks like I bought it off eBay; not the Apple Store!

Know what I've just noticed as I'm holding it? The bezel is not too big by any means -I can't imagine it being any smaller, it wouldn't make sense.
Exactly what I thought. When I first saw it on 27th Jan I wondered what they were playing at but if it was any smaller you would press the screen web you didn't mean to
Guys I've got a bit of a problem with my apps and itune store. I updated a couple of my apps which I originally downloaded from the US itunes store (which seemed to trigger the problem) however since then I have switched back to the UK store. Now though, every time I go to itunes or the app store on my ipad it is always the US one that appears and I can't see a way of changing it. Am I going to have to restore it and start again!?
Easy my dear.
Simply go to settings, store, and either select sign out. Once signed out, put in your other account info. I do this all the time as I have a primary US account, and a secondary European account.

Haven't been able to put mine down since I got it on thurs. Its everything I'd hoped for and more. Need to curb my spending on apps/videos though. I've spent £70+ plus so far
App highlights for me:
The Times app, not a big Times reader got it on a whim, and its quality. Just need The Sun to do something simalar
Sudoku HD - so simple but the big screen makes a huge differance.
Magic Piano - My girlfriend loves it. Very simple, but good fun.
I've downloaded about 10 games, the best 3 being Tetris, Cogs and Super Monkey Ball.

The Quick Voice recorder app is very good. The sound quality is crystal clear! I sent a few emails to my mates with the sound clip on just messing about really. I was even going to record a hello message for all the EU FM's on this thread, but I thought better of it!

. I just realized, as an engineering student I'm on my mac 12+hrs a day and so far today I haven't turned on my laptop once, all my daily tasks are on the iPad (except for the MATLAB stuff which I haven't needed today). That's what i call a successful purchase.
I need to cut down on my app spending too. All the utility apps i need and a couple games (only a couple honest!
) have come out to £70 as well. I had to get iWork and iAnnotate as well for university work, both good purchases btw.

Just for S&G's I jailbroke my iPad and installed wi-fi sync. It works as advertised. I can sync my iPad via wifi. Very fast and clean. Easy to setup as well. Apple should have let this one in the App Store. It looks like they will have bigger fish to fry sooner or later anyway.

I must say while wifi syncing is an interesting idea I can totally understand why apple disallowed it from the app store though. Not only for security issues (people intercepting wifi signals, especially important in enterprise) but also it may or may not give a consistent transfer rate for files so people may complain that syncing takes a long time. Longer than really necessary. I know us forummers would know better and use 802.11n but were discussing a device that is designed for people who know NOTHING about computers as well and having apps like that in the app store just complicates things for them.
Im not big about jail breaking my iPad anyways although I had considered it, I want it to remain relatively stable for the time being. My iPhone got noticeably unstable once i jailbroke/unlocked it.
My jailbroken 3GS started crashing and lagging a lot recently, so I reset all settings yesterday and it's been fine ever since (touch wood). I recommend giving it a go, I think settings files can just get corrupted sometimes.
so anyone here knows if the apple store regent street in london was sold out of ipads(iPad 16 gb wifi version) at the release day?
I went to Bluewater store yesterday and all 3G ipads were sold out :/ I was put on the 'notify me' list, I'm hoping to get by iPad by Wednesday, the Guy said they get deliveries every day and that It should be there in less than a week... Is apple prioritizing the UK stock deliveries ?
Doubt it mate, gotta remember their home country is still massively under stocked, now that were launched over here I think well be just another country when it comes to stock!
Have you tried currys or Pc world near you???
Also try apple resellers as most member of public didn't even know they were stocking them
