Ok, I'm late to this thread and fed up of suffering in silence (and my wife is fed up of me talking to her about the iPad all the time) so I need to know if it's worth bothering with bundlebox. I'd never heard of it until I saw that people here had ordered iPads through them. Question is, is it too late now? What kind of time frame would I be looking at to receive one if I ordered now?Before UK launch? After? Who knows? :) Not me, I'm just rambling! All I know is that I want one, and I want it now!

Well the lead time from Apple is now Ships by 12th. If they shipped on the 12th and then it took a couple of days it would reach Bundlebox probably on 14th April then it takes another couple of days from Bundlebox so probably 16th or possibly 19th April.
 
Apple need to be a little careful about being greedy. Especially in Europe where Market penetration is pretty shallow.

Apple want to branch out in both products and markets then they need to keep the apple tax to a minimum.
 
I'm not the kind of person who can afford to take a trip to New York for an iPad, or buy a wifi now and a 3G later. Just wondering, how much can you get for a 3rd Gen iPod nano 8GB?
 
It's not all bad the Americans get them first, they can work out the problems!

With the breaking news of an OS 4.0 announcement this Thursday 8th, I think it is looking good for iPad UK/International release info that same day, don't you think/hope/pray for?

Sit tight, UK people! As per the other threads, Apple is previewing OS 4.0 on April 8, ie. Thursday. I am pretty confident we shall have news on international launches on or before that date!

I believe it is Fedex, don't know when they will be sending them out but its only 12:45 over there right now, so probably later today. Although some people seem to had been told of the possibility of it being delivered tomorrow which I think is unlikely unless they have already been sent out and the status update is just delayed.
 
Well, I'm glad to see some of you guys seeing the upcoming Thursday iPhone OS 4.0 event as an indicator that our iPad release date should be soon. Personally when I read it on the mac rumours front page, my first thought was, "FFS ! Don't tell me Apple are concentrating on ANOTHER thing other than a UK / International iPad release date ? Talk about taking on a new job with a job still half finished !"

And then I sulked.
 
Alreet guys, long time lurker first time poster!

I've been following this thread/forum for a while now and thought it was about time I signed up.

Anyway, really looking forward to the release over here (or even a little info for now) I'd be surprised if we don't know a price and date by the end of this week.

I'll be furiously checking my iPhone at every chance over the next few days. £400 of my bonus put to one side so fingers crossed it comes in less than that. I'll pay a little extra for 32gb if its not much over.

Give them till after the bank holiday has finished - The UK Apple store is on holiday also.:rolleyes:
 
My iPad BundleBox order got bumped to 12th April even though I ordered on release day. Luck of the draw I guess.

One thing to note though, when speaking to the BundleBox employee who called me to give me the bad news he did say that he had heard that iPads destined to the European market were being re-directed to the US to fill in on demand... now Im not sure if he was giving me some spin on keeping my iPad order or if Euro orders may miss the "end of April" launch.

This along with the Swisscom announcement.... Im more confused than ever!
 
It's beginning to look increasingly like a further delay for the UK release. As much as I know it will hurt me, I have already sworn that I won't buy one if Apple piss us around any further. I intend to stick to that, so they will have lost a customer here -I'm sure they can afford to lose me though.

Frankly, how could he know that? None of the big rumor sites are reporting such news, we would be the first to know! As for Swisscom, they are a mobile operator and were probably referring to some sort of deal with Apple. And they are NOT the Apple Store - it would be like Amazon US stating right now that they are unsure when they will stock and sell the iPad, but you can of course readily find it in the US through other channels.
Let's just all keep calm. I am sure that Apple will make an official announcement of sorts regarding our situation soon - worse comes to worse there will be a delay, but it WILL be announced by Apple.

I know how you feel. The lack of any concrete info is painful. I just want a date and price! If they mess around to much longer i'll be using my cash towards a holiday!
 
re Bundlebox deliveries mine had changed from preparing for collection to ready for pickup and i have a fedex tracking number now as well.

Looks like they will ship toght as the site says last orders before 10pm gmt which is 5 pm in Kentucky.

I should think delivery will be wednesday:D

Yeah mines the same now, think it probably will be Wednesday. I had always thought it would be Wednesday but then there was talk of people getting told possibly Tuesday.
