And yes, I love it when an Apple product outshines a PC or a Google product. :)

I'm just wondering why you love it when Apple outshines...etc.

What difference does that make. If you "love" your apple products, that's great. If some other product "outshines" an Apple product, you can stick with your Apple product, or if the other is better, you can switch.

I don't understand why it matters that another product "outshines" an Apple product. Does it somehow make you feel like you made a bad choice?

Just asking... :)

I got it. Some of the responder don't like how I titled this thread. I use PCs all the time, I use Windows 7 all the time, (W3.0,Win98,XP, Vista before it) in fact due to the reality of gaming, I'm playing games on W7 all the time. And I've been using an Apple computer since the Apple IIe.

When I see a positive Apple article in a PC oriented magazine I'm going to report it just as I did, because I want to. You can get your feathers ruffled and throwing accusations and claims of ignorance at me, feel free. When it comes to the relative merits of Mac/PC I'm firmly and accurately grounded. I suggest some (not all) of you go find something more substantial to get indignant about.

Some of you sound like big babies. Next time I'll keep in mind and shield the sensitive Android feelings around here. :)

Maybe you are putting too much thought into the likes of a thread like this? I like Apple because I was there in the dark era when it was on the verge of bankruptcy. I've recognized it's superiority for over 20 years and I'm happy it is finally getting it's due. Of course it earned it's due to get where it is today by producing a string of superior products. I admire that. Am I deranged? lol. And if I must remind you this is an Apple forum. There is a high probability of reading pro-Apple statements here. :)

I don't spend any time making ridiculous claims about Apple. Anyone here going to tell me that the iPad is not the number one tablet and that Apple did not create a market for it and other tablets? What's more interesting is the hostility displayed in this thread in response to a pro Apple article in a PC magazine and the spin I put on it. Wait it's not spin, Apple is killing it's competitors in the tablet market (at least for now).

And for whoever mentioned it. I'm always more than ready to go another way when the technology dictates a new direction in manufacturer. Hell, I don't own Apple TV, I've got a Roku! :D

I compliment you on a very good post not entirely accurate. Apple still sell the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, and iPhone4S. Which does complicate the decision for consumers that can't seem to be able to make a choice of their own without flooding MacRumors forums asking complete strangers what they should get.

iPhone 3GS Black 8GB
iPhone 4 Black 8GB
iPhone 4 White 8GB
iPhone 4S Black 16GB
iPhone 4S White 16GB
iPhone 4S Black 32GB
iPhone 4S White 32GB
iPhone 4S Black 64GB
iPhone 4S White 64GB

Adding to all that having to choose between three different carriers. I know I am making it out to be worse that it really is but for some people it really is that hard just like you said.
I don't think you can compare 3 generations of the iPhone to all those phones I mentioned. At this point the only reason someone would purchase a 3GS or 4 is price. Is that the differentiator on all those Android phones? I doubt it. IIRC the Droid Razar Maxx came out like 3-4 months after the Droid Razar because of battery issues with the Razar. Yet those who purchased the Razar were not allowed to exchange it for a Razar Maxx. Seems to me these Android handset makers are just throwing stuff out there to see what sticks. And because they give the carriers so much control the carriers want their own special branded phones which just proliferates the number of phones on the market with not much differentiation between them.

You hit the nail square on the head right there.

And I would argue Samsung takes the cake there. A least HTC realized how ridiculous they looked and are cutting back the number of phones they make. But I wonder what will happen once the Google/Motorola deal is complete. All these other companies will be competing with their OS provider on the hardware side.
