With the new Kindles, I question the wisdom of a non-Retina iPad mini. The larger version is Retina quality, and the smaller phone is Retina quality. Why not adopt it across your entire portable line. It would seem to make more sense.

Yep, the longer form factor for the iPhone 5 is still look stupid and ugly.![]()

Were the 4 and 4S ugly?

Were the 4 and 4S ugly?
A longer, stretched out iPhone 5 is not going to be attractive. It just isn't. I know that I won't even consider buying one. I would just wait two years until the iPhone 6 to see what the hardware looks like then. I just bought a factory unlocked 4S that I will be perfectly content keeping for two years.

How would an iPad mini at 1024 x 768 compare to a 7" Kindle HD at 1200 x 800?
Negligible or noticable?

For a tablet, even a mini one, a bottom jack would be a mistake. Your lap or table goes there!
this would make sense instead of having 2 fall events.

The iPhone 5 case is unusually tall. Might be due to perspective, but still.. It looks awkward compared to 4S

Nope they were beautiful. But could be different if it's just taller.
Not to mention I don't like the new speaker/mic grills design leaks, looks cheap and terrible. It looks awesome on 4 or 4s.
With that said, we'll see the real deal tomorrow.

I think the elongated iPhone 4(S), also know as iPhone 5, doesn't seem right.![]()
I'm sure everyone will get used to the look. One day people will probably think that the 4S looked short. For a .5" increase in screen size they've done a decent job of not increasing the length by a large amount.
