To each his own, but if you don't want it then sell it. I bought a 32GB on release day and sold it on eBay a month or two back. I just didn't use it enough like I thought I would and it isn't really any different than a netbook for what I wanted. So sell it if you aren't happy - more than enough people will line up to buy it off you.

I could add a few more points, but I hope that it already was arrogant and dismissive enough for you. It's just a taste of your own medicine.

Winni, you are ignorant yourself. I am an American who is extremely passionate about all things European. I have spent a ton of time in Europe, including my favorite country - Germany. I think the only generalization I can make and stand by is that humans, in general, are all idiots at times. It is certainly not limited to Americans and most definitely includes Germans, who are some of the biggest freaks I've ever encountered. But, I find so much to appreciate about Germany and it's people. It seems like you need to open your mind a bit.

Also, I've travelled in France and Spain and have never had communication problems. Nearly every attempt I've made to speak French or Spanish has been met with an English response. I've also had success using my German in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary.

So a guy doesn't like his iPad, and he instantly becomes a troll? Oh no, he called the iPad a 'toy'. How blasphemous of him!!!

Seriously, some people here just can't take any criticism on an Apple product. On top of that, they counter him by pointing out his lack of skill in English grammar. Very rational indeed.

I have an iPad too. It has been sitting on my desk for a couple of months now. I have a MBP too. The iPad just cannot replace my MBP for what I do. So, yes, it is a toy for me. It is very cool and all and I really want to use this device, which is why I haven't sold it yet. But sadly, my MBP is way better at everything. And I do not mind it being less portable.

Of course, everyone is entitled to their opinion. Why I don't understand is why iPad haters read and post here. Do they not have other interests and more important ways to use their time?

It is just trolls trying to get attention. They have no other lives than the five minutes in the spotlight they get here. Really it is quite sad.

I am not referring that Ipad is a sucking product, I am just saying ipad may not be a proper product for me...

I bought my 16GB wifi version ipad on August, until now, I use ipad mainly for web browsing, and sometimes I play plants vs zombies, but except for these, it's nothing useful. I rarely read newspapers since I am in college now, and all the paper newspapers is free to students; Nor do I use it for email, because I have iphone, which can push email to the mobile device on time; I don't use it to play games except for "PvZ", which can be played on my MBP and iphone, too. Ipad is not that light, it's still a little inconvenient for carrying everywhere, and you have to grab the Ipad case if you want to protect it from rubbing...In addition, ipad can not play flash, and office and iwork on ipad really sucks, nobody use ipad for office work, write? And virtual keyboard is definitely slower than physical keyboard!

So, is my opinion make any sense? I think new macbook air is way better than ipad in anything...

Your'e right. It's pretty much just a toy for most of us. I mean, does anybody really "need" to have one? I don't really "need" it but I must say that I "love" it. I use it all the time and would be sad to lose it, but it not something that I "must" have. I think it's a sweet luxury item for most of us.

Meh.

I felt the same thing about the slightly used CERN Particle Accelerator I picked up on eBay. It's just a toy, I'm thinking about selling it.

I mean, I only use the CERN Particle Accelerator to make loud humming noises, but sometimes I use it to make sparks and shiny colors. Once, I made Jiffy Pop popcorn with it, that was the most useful thing I did with it.

So, yeah, just a toy. Not really worth it. I'm sending mine back.

Lol, best thing I have read all day!

I love my iPad everyday I am finding new uses. It keeps my calendar, contacts, uni readings, facebook, mail and books I am reading. All my media from music, movies, tv shows I am yet to watch and all my podcast lectures. It forewarns me about pollen counts so I can take my asthma meds. Reminds me what I am ment to be cooking for tea as I likely planned it a week and a half ago. Let's me write assignments in font of the tv. Watch movies in the bath- iPad mount on the wall of course. Keeps scanned PDFs of our bills so I can find the dam things when I need too. Honestly I have it with me 12 hours of everyday. This is not a toy! You should have seen the person I was before it. Now I'm super woman.

Where else would the OP post about his iPad? On PCRumors? This is the forum to talk about Apple products right?. The iPad is an Apple product right?

I just don't understand why people like this even bother reading and posting on these forums.

If you don't understand why, then that is your shortcoming. But let me explain why: because they can. They feel like they want to share something and they are exercising their right to do so on this public forum.

If you don't want to hear bad things about your beloved Apple product, then close your ears. But don't expect the OP to stop talking.

Need is a relative term. Do you need your computer? Really? Some people might actually NEED the portability that the iPad affords while to some it is a true luxury item. When I hear the term toy thrown about I tend to give it less credence (my opinion) as these are usually terms bandied about people who are generally not into much tech and need to label tech items as something they can relate to.
