Um, "laser beams" don't shoot into your eyes, or anywhere else. Facetime is a camera. And they don't send your face data to Apple.
Sorry, don't like invisible scanners hitting the face (including the eyes). Sorry, don't believe "NO ONE else gets the information...BUT we keep it on our servers encrypted.... Then why keep it on their servers...for me? Come on...
Yeah Sure...the iPhone Doesn't track EVERY place you go and if it does, it JUST's keeps it on your phone...including a pin on the map exactly where you go...every place during the day you go, how many times you go there etc. and other information...JUST to make their "services" better? gullible people...

I remember 20 years ago when an old guy told me that the bar code on the driver's license tracks where people are by satellite, including indoors...we thought he was a crazy old man....now...it is easy...the smartphones does it very easy.
I was in a marketing meeting over 5 years ago and they were telling me (with charts of data) that they get information about where you drive, what routes etc. from smart phones so they can determine what to put on bill boards for the commuter drive every day...where did the marketing companies GET THAT information from..? Please...
And that was over 5 years ago...I can't imagine what info they can get now...and who gets it.
Glad I am out of the marketing business.

Well, I guess you could just make stuff up about how it works to convince yourself it’s no good. BTW, nothing you said is true of FaceID.
And how do you know? Are you an apple PR guy on this site promoting Apple stuff?

Apple doesn’t port your face to their server though. Everything is handling on device.

Ha. Yes, sometimes it’s too easy to unlock.
And...how do you know it stays on your phone?
