I've never bought anything as soon as it's available, but I don't think I'll be able to resist if it's truly a mini version of the current iPad Air! For me, nothing beats the portability of a mini! I don't want a mini iPad Pro though - it would just bee too expensive for me since I don't use my mini as a computer anyway. It's my entertainment/media consumption/travel buddy/jack of all trades.

I’m guessing the price will be $100 less than an updated iPad Air 5 at the same capacity. 256GB at $649 for the mini 6 compared to $749 for the Air 5.

Remember the days when we used to complain about Apple muddying the waters with Mini, Pro, Pro Max, SE, 'regular' etc? Now they're doing the same with the chips!
Except *Apple* is not doing anything.
This is idiot rumor-mongers who don't know enough about SoCs and the relevant interesting differences between them to even create plausible fake rumors.
