64GB white LTE iPad mini + 64GB white LTE 4th Gen iPad W/Retina Display + red and dark grey mini smart covers as I couldnt decide between the 2, for the retina iPad I got tan leather and dark blue + AppleCare+ on both.. both ordered within 1 min of Apple Store App coming online both delivering as soon as LTE versions begin shipping

That's all out going that over $1600 USD

Going to wait until they start appearing in store. I really like the black slate, and could use a mini for taking around with me, but after using the iPad 3 since the day it came out, I'd have to see the screen first. My brother has the iPhone 3GS, I currently have the 5, no way I could take that step back looking at his phone today. My guess is I'll be waiting for next years iPad mini.

After event, I couldn't decide between mini and 4th gen. Went ahead and ordered the 4th gen. First iPad purchase.

Is the AppleCare worth it?

Didn't go for the mini. Last minute decision to go with the 4th gen iPad w/ retina. I figured it would be easier to work with for clients and website management. It was almost to easy to order on the Apple Store App.

Only ever bought AppleCare with my very first iMac. I have owned multiple iPhones, an iPad, multiple MacBook Pro's and many iPods. I have never regretted not buying it. However, the one time I did use it with my iMac, things were handled perfectly.

Why do you guys think the white iPad Mini is selling so much faster than the Black Anodized? Could it be that we all agree that the Black will show evidence of scuffs and scratches much more easily? I love the black, but I don't want it looking like s*** after a few weeks in my bag.

I personally think the white looks better, but another reason I would attribute to the sales being greater is the whole scratch issue with the black iPhone 5's. If a small phone scratched easily, I am sure the large back would do the same. If you are careful with your products and use a case or skin, you should be fine. If you really love the black and hate the idea of a case, go with something like invisible shield, it will protect from those scratches.

At first I was excited that the LTE models were for all carriers but then I saw you had to select one carrier for the life the iPad so downgraded to the Wifi version.

Odd. Mine says November 23... lots of others reporting the 23rd as well.

Just checked order status:
iPad with Retina display Wi-Fi + Cellular for AT&T 32GB - Black : November 26th delivery

iPad mini with Wi-Fi + Cellular for AT&T 32GB - Black & Slate : November 23rd delivery

Ordered at 3:18 a.m.; 3:22 a.m EST respectively.

Anyone else see their updated delivery times on Wi-Fi + LTE orders?

This is true!

Wait I thought iPad mini was overpriced and Apple was doomed?!?! Hahaha we're winning this mobile war, we're really winning!!! Apple is unstoppable now.

I agree and I think that's why the iPad mini came about, to stay ahead of the game. When you have Company's selling their hardware at a loss of profit to hopefully make it up in merchant sales (Amazon). It makes no sense to me, when buying from Amazon is just as easy on iPads, iPhones & now ipad mini.
So now for a $129 more you're getting an iPad with a little less real state and 10 times the hardware & software.
I pre ordered my new 4th gen iPad to replace me 3rd gen iPad! I don't think the mini is for me, I'm either going to use my iPhone or iPad or even my MB Pro.
However I'll try one out in the store when they get to the floor to sample and if I like it, I'll get one in black slate. I just love the size of my iPads & iPhone 5 but I do think they will sell a ton of Mini's and keep winning the mobil wars!:apple::apple::apple:

I pre ordered my iPad 4th gen. Completed 12:02am and instantly got my email ships Mid November. I have not got updated delivery yet but I would think they update later when getting ready to ship. That's how it always goes with my pre orders and they are always on time with my orders!:apple::apple::apple:

Just ordered my white 32gb, 4th gen, still showing "delivers on Nov 2" in the ordering pages, guess I'll wait and see what the email confirmation says. :)

I've had many Apple products over the years (*apple fan boy)..*the only thing I purchase it for is the high end MBP's.

If you actually click on the order number in the mail they sent you - it should take you to a page with more detailed information (attached). Look under the iPad and you should see updated shipping information when it becomes available.
They don't send an e-mail notification of this changes. It's a soft update vs. a hard update (order confirmation, shipping, delivery etc).

Hope that helps.

Or an easier way is to order, play with it for 14 days in real situations rather than judging it in store attached to a security cable with people hustling to get a go, and if you don't like it send it back for full refund. Each to their own I guess.

I'm sure you have $300+ to just do this. I certainly don't. And I don't have an Apple store close to me at all. Almost 2 hours away from me. So it's a real issue going to one to do the return. But yes I would want to purchase it from an Apple store. Why? No reason apart from the fact I'm probably one of the only Apple fans out there who has yet to set foot inside an official Apple store (not reseller).

"Each to their own I guess." Exactly this. I agree with you.
