Back a couple of pages ago on ths thread there were links to (a). the Apple MySupport Profile site, which will show all devices registered to your Apple ID - this is where the serial # for the new Mini was, and (b). a site where you enter that serial # and it spits out the info I posted.

Both of mine (32GB Black mini and dark grey Smart Cover) are showing up as being shipped by UPS from China. (So whoever said that the blacks were being made in Brazil got it wrong.)
Cover with delivery 10/30 - yeah good luck with that with Frankenstorm hitting NYC!!!
Mini with delivery by end of day 11/2 - hoping Sandy clears out of the way by then!!!
Apple status still in "processing" for the Mini though and no email or text from them either.

I also have 32gb black/dark grey coming from china. Shows factory F4. I also noticed the updated support page is much better than what apple had up until this recent update.

I ordered my smart cover separate from my mini just incase they were not shipping before the ipads themsevles. Looks like my smart cover is out for delivery today 10/29. My 32gb black mini is still preparing for shipment.

I think you're right.. Just saw a departure scan of 10:20 from Osaka, which is about when the flight departed
