Those discounts better stack because that's how I justified tacking on the wireless keyboard :D when I did the big iPad part of my order.

I did the mini iPad part of my purchases first and put that on a different card. Spread the debt around, keep more banks happy...

So on Nov 2, FedEx (or whatever courier they're using here) will bring me a 32GB black WiFi iPad mini, and a 64GB black WiFi iPad 4th generation. I decided against cellular options this time, in both those devices. For data, if WiFi is not available, then it's iPhone or go home and plug into the router !

Aha, looks like they haven't started building white ones yet. Cancelled my order and re-ordered a black one, and that's arriving the 2nd!

Would have preferred white, but I really need an iPad asap. I sold my old iPad 1 a few weeks back while the prices were still high, and being iPadless is a nightmare.

I got my order in for a "slate" 16gb WiFi only model through the app store well before the site went live. I learned my lesson from the whole iPhone 5 mess.

Woo!

Hey all,

Over here on the East coast I was able to order my black 16GB iPad mini around 7:30am EST with shipment on 11/2! Can't wait! :D

A question: have any of you ever selected business shipping even though you shipped it to a residence? I've always noticed Apple says business addresses receive shipment before 5pm, while residences can receive deliveries as late as 8pm. I've never done it before, but this time I figured why not? If it works, earlier delivery for me, and if not, oh well, right? What do you all think?

Not True, I pre-ordered a White iPad mini right on the dot at 12 AM PST via iPhone and mine will be delivered on 11/2. It's probably because many people ordered the white & silver model.

Though a tradition...it does suck that the cellular versions wont deliver unto 11/23

I've got a delivery date of 11/20 for a wifi+cellular (black 64gb). I'm curious to see the delivery dates of others who have ordered wifi+cellular. Thanks!

I'm in Texas and mine came back as 11/23, which is a problem because I am closed that day and it's shipping to my office. Once I find out who is shipping it I will come in and sign for it tho.

White iPad mini 16gb wifi ordered around 3:30am EST (I woke up randomly and decided to order then since I was up). Delivery date of Nov 16. I sold my iPad 2 to cover the purchase price plus some so I'm kind of bummed I'll be without a tablet for half of a month, but that's a first world problem if there ever was one. I'll live

Love that reason :D

I actually set my alarm at 1:55 CST woke up, ordered on my phone at 2:01 and went back to sleep. I'm only feeling a little tired because of it.

No idea what country this is for (I'm UK) - but my iPad mini 64GB WiFi Black has changed to 'Preparing for Shipment'! (Delivers 2nd November).

No prob. You can still sign up for the 2%. It's valid on all purchases you make today a long as you've "enrolled" before the end of the day. And it's been confirmed by others that the 5+5+2% does stack. :)

Umm not to disappoint but I see that iPad mini is not included in the 5%. On Discovercard page.

5% for the Apple Store. 5% extra if you signed up for the quarterly bonus (for all online shopping - sign up in your account home page). And an extra 2% bonus for shopping on October 26 (also in your account home page).

Sad.. the shopdiscover page for the 5% for apple now says:

"Offer valid on iPhone 5 and the new iPad
Offer not valid on iPad mini and iPad with Retina Display"

Makes no sense.. so iPad mini and iPad 4 are excluded, but iPhone 5 isn't???? If the discount comes from the retailer then maybe apple made the decision.

ETA: oops, I see someone got there first. Pretty sure the site didn't say that last night but they updated it today since those products were officially released today.

My ipad 4 and mini are in the same order, my ipad 4 just went preparing. Not that it means anything because my iphone 5 did that 4 days before it shipped.

As seajewel said a couple of posts above, it didn't list the ipad mini as an exclusion last night when preorders were being placed. It seems now that the extra 5% is gone. I'm not sure about the 5% from shopping online or the 2% for shopping today.

Knew that would happen. They seem to do this every time a new Apple product or version is released. If you want the discount I think you have to wait a few weeks.

Did it happen for iPhone 5? Maybe they let you use the cashback after a month or two. I know new iPad was eligible when I ordered it, in June or something.

Not sure about the iphone 5 but they definitely got me with the ipad 3. I didn't realize that I didn't get the discount until a month later. The rep said that Apple didn't didn't allow the discount on the 'new ipad'.

I guess they don't allow it for a couple months at launch. Too bad.. it is a nice discount for discover card users.
