I think that's because technically those products weren't even available. Discover just didn't update its cashback page until the day of 10/26.. when they were released. Not sure we have a leg to stand on here.

No. Apple tells the shipping company to hold it until the release date. It's possible for a few to ship early but it's rare because it only happens if multiple people screw up.

sorry this thread keeps getting hijacked, but naw. I got my discover card before my credit hit the 700s. In fact I got it during a rough patch when I was unemployed and got rejected for a Chase Freedom, but was approved for Discover anyways. I think my credit was low 600s.

If you use your discover shop card but it says discount invalid on iPad mini and new retina iPad

No prob. You can still sign up for the 2%. It's valid on all purchases you make today a long as you've "enrolled" before the end of the day. And it's been confirmed by others that the 5+5+2% does stack.

ShopDiscover says the 5% not valid on iPad mini & iPad with Retina display
