Just realised you don't actually need to go to the US site to see the details - just click the "Track - International" tab just above where you enter the reference, and enter the same ref.

Mine is still showing as in transit from Pudong International Airport as of 30th Nov.

Worse still, I've decided I want a model with more storage so I don't even want this one now!

also

you can tell Apple made a royal cock-up of the ipad mini seeing as i ordered mine on the 23rd november and i'm getting it the same day as people who pre-ordered on he first day of orders.

If I track on international it's still in transit. But if I go onto UK site it says please call...

i cant see anything on the UK site tracking, so i am inclined to believe the international one, which says that my mini is lost somewhere between Pudong and a n other location.

Tnt

The TNT UK option is only for packages within the UK sent to another UK address.

Make sure you're always looking at International for your package.

If i look on UK it says my package was delivered before I even ordered it to the arse-end of nowhere.

Feel for those of you sitting patiently waiting for a delivery knowing there is some stock in the shops.

I suspect next product launch some may not go down the pre-order route.

Argos just got stock of 64GB white LTE minis - ordered one, free next day delivery. Looks like it will arrive before my pre-ordered 32GB which I'll now return.

Guys, Still no update mines still stuck in transit from Pudong International Airport as of 30th Nov.
I hope it arrives on wednesday.:)

apparently my delivery date is 6th december but i can't see how it wouldnt be a day earlier seeing as it left Pudong International Airport yesterday at 8pm. I think if they really tried they could get it to me tomorrow...

We must be on the same flight then ;) I dont see if it's already in transit how it can still take that long

Got my LTE Mini on Friday from the Apple Store in Reading. It was the first day they went on sale, and there was only 32 and 64Gb models available. So if you pop up in the store around 11 am you have a good chance to get a hold of one (Apple Stores have deliveries every day, but no one usually knows what is inside. After getting them in store they spend around 30 min to upload the stock availability). I arrived at 10.30 and had to wait for another half an hour, but it was worth it. And I do not have to wait until 10th of December to get it delivered.

If Apple hadn't  ed up, no-one would need to.

I've never pre-ordered anything from Apple before so I didn't really know what to expect. From everyone's reactions in this thread, it seems the expectation is that by pre-ordering you guarantee yourself delivery before they hit the shops. Is this definitely the definition of an Apple pre-order? Or, is it just that by pre-ordering you guarantee delivery of the item you want, at roughly the same time that they hit the shops (earlier if possible), so you don't have to worry about running round stores hoping they have stock.

Despite what everyone is calling a balls-up by Apple, pre-ordering iPad minis still seems to have been the only way to be 100% certain you will get the one you want at about the same time as they become available in the shops.

I've been pre-ordering apple products for years now and every one has arrived on release date. the problem with the mini was that there was no set launch date of the cellular.

My old New iPad arrived at my office the day of store release.

I have pre-ordered a 16gb and none of the shops stock 16gb so although i'll get mine sooner, it seems quicker still.

I've preordered an iPhone 3G, 4, 5, iPad 1 & 3. All came on launch day, the iPad 1 came a day early. I had no problem with waiting for the cellular mini, but I've been enjoying my store bought LTE mini since Friday, while my 0801 preorder isn't due till next Monday. Ridiculous.

When I was ordering my Mini I also got a 16Gb one, but then bought a 32Gb in store and I have to say it was a right decision to go for. I've already filled 15Gb over the weekend with apps and music so that I won't need a permanent connection to the internet to play things in my car from the cloud. And yes, it if only £80 difference.

I pre-ordered the 32GB but have ordered a 64GB now (due to arrive tomorrow from Argos). For me, even 32GB isn't enough, now that Plex supports offline syncing of shows and movies.

Personally i would have gone for the 32 gb all day long however it's a birthday gift for the girlfriend. i can't see her really filling it up too much. If she does i'll sell it and get her the retina one next year ;)

She is a lucky girl then! =)

Updated Delivery now saying "11th December, subject to change".

I hope it does change, to an earlier date, as i ordered on the 26/10 at 9:00 am.

"Pre-order" to me, though i may be wrong, is to place an order prior to availability. I guess i was foolish believing that it would achieve priority over shop stock.
