iPad mini iPad Mini - UK Pre Order

in work and got a message - package for you at reception. practically run through the office.... Damn Elf dvd i ordered last week 🙁. hurry up UPS, please!
 
Cancelled my online order for a 32GB White and went to the Covent Garden store (arrived about 9am), and impulse-bought a 64GB White. At that point in time they had no 16GB models of any colour left, but plenty of 32/64s.

EDIT: No queue either! Apparently they were expecting it to be busy, but it is not.

Good to know there are white models in store. Im going to try tomorrow to see if there are any, and cancel my online order.
 
Ordered mine through Tesco's online and it will be coming tomorrow at some point!! Finally... better than waiting till the 15th!!

Walked into the Apple store at Cribbs Causeway, Bristol at around 9, got the 2nd last black 16gb with no queue at all 🙂 Pretty chuffed.
 
Ugh... Just updated mine (again) and UPS says Destination Scan - Delivery Date Unknown - but Apple says 'Out For Delivery'


Pretty confident it that it will turn up today, as this is what usually happens for me somehow!

I just did exactly the same, and got 3% quidco. Cancelled my order from Apple. Glad tesco have stock of 16gb white. 😀

The screen is good. It is bright, with wide viewing angles, and is noticeably better than the screen in a MacBook Air or an iPad 2. It isn't retina, but that doesn't bother me too much as I don't spend my time with my nose up against the glass looking for pixels.

The form factor outweighs the non-retina by far. The mini is portable and can be used with two thumbs in portrait.

Mine has done the same in Scotland and I've called UPS (twice) to be told that it's on the van for delivery today,

Honestly , I find it great ! My iPhone is retina and for the life of me , I can't see a difference 😎
I'm really happy , as I travel a lot it's going to be much better than my iPad1 which will stay at home from now on.

Just to update, picked up my reserved 16GB black mini from PC World.

Now to get home from work to play with it! 😀
 
Thanks for the screen info guys, seems like the lack of retina is a non issue, mine just got delivered so cant wait to finish work today!!
