Well, I got mine, typing on it now :D Hope you were able to pick up yours, and manage to avoid the upselling.

After a couple of hours playing arond , I'm now typing this on my mini and loving it
 
Mine has now arrived!

My cruel colleagues hid it whilst I was at lunch and didn't uncover it until I was on the phone to UPS!
 
Just back from Currys at East Kilbride Retail Park and they had 20 Black 16GB iPad mini's I was number 16, so they have 4 left today, just walked in and was out within 10 minutes, no smart covers though.

At lunchtime John Lewis Newcastle had 4 white 16GB and 20 or 30 black in different capacities in stock.

Between me phoning them and getting into the shop (around an hour) they went down from 13 white to 5 when I arrived.
 
My order was canceled today after looking at them in store. :(


Because I bought one there and then :D lovely and compact, utterly delighted with it, hold out people, they are worth the wait.
 
UPS *finally* delivered mine in Spilsby, Lincolnshire at 5:40pm!

I was working nightshift last night, stayed awake all day today cause I'm the only one here (we're on a farm too), and got nightshift tonight! :O!!

On the upside........ the iPad mini is incredible. I honestly can't comprehend how light it is!

I can see me using the mini more than daddy iPad. :) :apple:
 
I'm a bit miffed as some stores seem to have had white 16GB for sale today. I ordered at 8:01 last friday and would have thought Apple would have fulfilled these 1st. It's going to be a long 2 weeks.......:(

I don't blame you for a moment. I was in the same position so I decided to try my luck at the Trafford Centre this morning. Queued for an hour and managed to get a white 32GB iPad Mini.

Poor show on the pre-order front!
 
Don't get me wrong having them for sale in Apples stores is fair enough to create a bit of a "frenzy" for the press(Well thats what Apple hopes anyway) but Comet/PC World and the likes I find a bit strange. I may sound like I'm throwing my toys out the pram here but I'm just very envious LOL ! :)

Yep, that's the model I reserved and ordered today. I was quite surprised they were in stock. Makes a mockery of preordering really.
 
Newstand titles on iPad mini

I've ordered a black 3G version so have to wait :eek: I use newstand a lot on my iPad 3 and love it as a way to read magazines. I'm just wondering if anyone has tried reading magazine on the iPad mini (preferably someone who does it on retina large iPad also) and if the quality on the mini is going to drive me nuts?

I'm happy John Lewis had them, comes with free 2 year warranty :).
 
Picked up a 16Gb white mini from Glasgow Buchanan street Apple store just now.

They got a delivery and have all models and colours available.
 
Went into Buchanan St early and overheard an assistant saying they had no white :)eek:) but by the time I'd finished my genius bar appointment they had stock of all models and colours.

Now proud owner of 16GB White. Love the size and weight. Perfect. Screen is a compromise but will update to next model anyway, so will enjoy this one for now.

They were shifting plenty of them, from what I could see.
 
Argos seem to have some in stock, I've reserved a 16GB black to pick up tomorrow
 
Apple in Glasgow Buchanan street have the black in all models and the white in 64 GB. That was about 5:30 this evening.
