iPad mini iPad Mini - UK Pre Order

Oh I'm still waiting!! Argh!

Guys I bought a case from these guys:

Just to protect it as soon as I got it. But by GOD is it a good case. It's Gel, but hard gel if that makes sense, so it's soft but rigid. I know it sounds bizaare but its such a good quality item. Everything is cut very well and it looks spot on. I'm yet to fit it to my iPad but I'm sure it will fit fine. So for a bargain case, buy this!

Update: Here's a photo of mine. Just need the iPad to put in it now!

I bought the same one from the same seller and I can confirm that it is perfect and I am very happy to say that the smart case works on it ! That was a good surprise :cool:
 
Anyone been into the Buchanan Street Apple store in Glasgow? Just wondering what the stock levels are?

I suspect they contract this out to local part time couriers - does your stuff usually come in a UPS van or an unmarked car/van? And when?
 
Mine has just arrived at work, but got to wait until later to set it up.

Be worth it for me though, tethering is a pita and this'll go everywhere with me.

Mine arrived 30 mins ago, this thing is great and very light. Screen is fine for me so far, extended use will be the real test.
 
Just popped to the Trafford centre to pick up a Smart Cover. Stool waiting for the delivery. For those thinking of going to the store they have mini's left but only the 64gb ones. Looks like plenty of ipad 4's though
 
Pretty sure iPad 4 was going to be a flop.

iPad 2 was fast enough, iPad 3 improved speed and the screen, now what? Just some more speed. Not enough to sell to countries in a recession. Bad choice releasing it the same time as a 'major'(mini) product that people want.

That's what I have there. It isn't clear clear, it's like a 90's frosted bathroom window! I'm sure you can still see the Apple logo through the back though :)

Thanks for confirming about the smart cover. just ordered a misty clear one :). still waiting for the ipad to arrive although i suppose in a way its a good thing as it would only be sat on my desk at work meaning i get absolutely no work done as i gaze at it...
 
I started work at 12 and Luckily for me it was delivered at 8:50am. Wow just perfect for me on the train, played some Fifa 13 and read some of my book. And I'm nowat work and it fits into the tiny little pocket in my bag. Perfect. Smart Cover is nice too.

Screen isn't bothering me, think its fine.
 
Called them at 13:30 today when I finished work, they are sold out, not sure how quickly they went or what the que was like. First time I've missed a launch :-( My pre order says 15Nov, I guess I'll have to wait.

My Irish pre-order was still showing as deliver 15th november.

Thankfully the local Apple reseller managed to get a few iPad mini's in today and he got allocated 1 black 64gb mini so I snapped it up this morning and cancelled my order with Apple.

Now I have just ordered a smart cover and lighting connector from Apple though.
 
Still waiting! and another false alarm of the matrix trilogy arriving!! arrrgh. why would all these things arrive today, but the one thing i really want is still Awol!? :(:confused:
 
UPS still haven't been with my order :mad:

Well, just means Apple will be getting it back, I've picked up a white one from John Lewis in my lunch break.

This little Mini is great, screen is excellent, it's far more comfortable to hold than the 9.7, not just size/weight, but actual holding, the smooth edges are much better than the sharp taper on the bigger one.
