iPad mini iPad Mini with Cellular Pre-order Thread

Mine that is being delivered on 11/19 is AT&T. I'll stick with them just so I don't have to deal with all the crap that Verizon seems to be having with their iPad cellular.

I only use the cellular when we travel, so a few times a year. The rest of the time i'll be on wifi. For me it was worth going with AT&T since I don't know if i'll always be renewing the wifi within that 5 month time period that Verizon has.

Back on topic: I'm going to try visiting some retail stores on the 16th, I didn't preorder the LTE one and it seems like AT&T will have theirs available that day.

It still hasn't been confirmed whether stores will have it on Friday (at least Apple stores). I'm in the same boat as you. Good luck.

bull. att would throttle your bandwidth way before that much data. unlimited is not unlimited.

Edit: What state are you in? I'm curious if that affects delivery. I would assume it does. I got my Smart Cover (which came from China) two days earlier than the date indicated by Apple and 1 day earlier than the date given by FedEx themselves.

I'm in NJ. Ordered an AT&T 16gb.

fyi.... I have no evidence to back that up. I'm just making an assumption based on the one's held up being AT&T hardware. And if true it's also possible that a few slipped through before the chinese entities that are customs and air regulatory agencies called for an inspection that the shipper & apple are now trying to quickly resolve.

this might also partially explain why no one really has a solid release date / in store date for the cell versions of the ipad mini.

Apple knows it kept a product in the dark and hasn't gone through chinese govt & mil. scrutiny so it would be foolish to announce a solid in store date.

/shrug ... who knows... i'm spit balling possibilities here.

yep, lots of us are. Appears to be an issue with AT&T devices, although a few AT&T folks have reported tracking numbers.

Might help to understand if there is a pattern here. Seems AT&T models are held up, any pattern in terms of the model? Mine is a 32GB Black ordered on 10/26 at 2:59 PM CT, still listed as Preparing for Shipment. CC authorization posted yesterday (11/12).

Mine is a 16GB AT&T in black. Ordered on 11/8 at 2:38PM.
