iPad mini iPad Mini with Cellular Pre-order Thread

Mine went to Japan from China, then to Anchorage and now it's sitting in Memphis. So it basically flew over Iowa on it's way down. My delivery still says the 19th. I'm hoping it will make it here tonight and be on the truck for delivery tomorrow, but i'm not going to hold my breath. I may end up asking Fedex to keep it at the facility for me to pick up as I won't be in the office all day tomorrow. My fedex page gives me that option and it doesn't need an attempted delivery first.
 
Any At&t people getting them, or sooner then the 20th? Mines been sitting in Shanghai, just checked in again, thinking of canceling and going to the store tomorrow instead. Apple usually nails preorders, this is different.

32GB/Slate/Verizon - ordered just minutes after the online store opened.

Yesterday the date went from 11/16 to 11/19, so I gave up hope of having it before the weekend. It looked like it was stuck on Lantau Island for awhile.

However, the mini grew wings and put in some serious miles last night.

Even while it was out for delivery the delivery date stayed at 11/19.

AT&T 32 GB Black scheduled for 11/20 delivery. Mine circled Shanghai and went back, apparently it loved the city too much. I got nowhere with the supervisor at Apple. The combo of my very delayed iPhone 5 and iPad mini shipping issues means I may cancel and go to a local store... Never had such issues with an Apple preorder before.

Maybe those of us with a 11/20 date and currently stuck in Shanghai will experience a FedEx miracle and get it tomorrow if you got a 11/19 device today.

I can't beleive this, my 64GB White AT&T remains in preparing to ship as some to you are receiving yours. On top of that some of you have received smart covers as compensation and while I didn't call Apple with the intent of receiving one, when I just called I had the worst experience I have ever had with them, she seemed mad from the moment I said hello.

Keep trying. You shouldn't have an issue getting a free cover added.

I think it's interesting to point out that those who are getting them delivered today so far have all bought Verizon models.

Not sure what is up with the shipping out of Shanghai though.

I just called them too as I'm extremely pissed off about getting promised "early" shipping, only to be moved back to last-one-shipped shipping (still hasn't shipped).

I had actually paid for a smart cover and received it long ago. But the lady offered to refund me the money I previously paid for it.

So I got some cash back, which I could care less about. I've now lost faith in Apple. They have become just another big, fat, dumb company like IBM did 20 years ago.

I too fear the same as you. I think we are starting to see the downfall of legendary Apple service, they are becoming overconfident and don't care about individual customers anymore.
 
My Verizon 64GB was delivered at 9:15am! :D

Unfortunately, I'm at work. :(

If I had known it was going to be delivered this early I would have arranged to catch a cold and be home sick! (cough, cough). Man, this is going to be a long day.
 
So the golden question is....why the big difference between the Verizon ones and the ATT ones? Apples roll outs are usually much more synchronized than this!

Mine still says preparing for shipping...and the date changed last night from the 16th to the 20th....4 days longer? C'mon Apple!

Called Best Buy, they said the Verizon ones are in their system, but no sign of the ATT ones....A HUGE blunder for ATT....as how many people will end up with a Verizon mini instead because of this snafu?

The Apple store said they had no idea when the 4G versions were coming...."no idea"?....when Verizon folks are opening their packages this morning?

What a debacle.

I could give a flip about their ugly color smart covers..... I WANT MY MINI!!!!!!

(I got two covers... since the aren't black... not sure how much we'll use them....)
