Yep. "No idea"......that about sums up this ridiculously bungled launch.

30 days later we're sitting waiting for our Minis "preparing for shipment"......while Johnny Clueless will walk into a store this weekend and have one in-hand before we do.

Mine went to Japan from China, then to Anchorage and now it's sitting in Memphis. So it basically flew over Iowa on it's way down. My delivery still says the 19th. I'm hoping it will make it here tonight and be on the truck for delivery tomorrow, but i'm not going to hold my breath. I may end up asking Fedex to keep it at the facility for me to pick up as I won't be in the office all day tomorrow. My fedex page gives me that option and it doesn't need an attempted delivery first.

My AT&T 64GB slate still shows preparing for shipment, 5 business days, delivers on Nov 20 via next day. Boss just got his Verizon one this morning. Apple rep on the phone couldn't offer any info. Didn't offer me a Smart Cover, though now I think I should have asked.

I wonder if they will be in stores tomorrow? Maybe Apple is still deciding? They might not want to get them in stores before the pre orders, or they might not want to annoy AT&T by having only Verizon ones in stores.

oh joy (NOT): my two smart covers are out for delivery.... funny how thye placed the order at 3:30pm TWO days ago.... they shipped originating from china..... and they will be here in less than 48 hours total.... but my minis, that I g
actually gave them money for.... just continue to sit in china...

Same here with black 16GB AT&T. I know it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of life, but why did I bother waking up at 2 a.m. local time to pre-order if stores will get them before the order arrives? I, too, had a delayed iPhone 5. Combined with this, either FedEx or Apple is making me want to avoid pre-orders.

well it most certainly matters to me.... people can spew about first world problems all they want... but I.FREAKING.CARE!!!! I want my stinkin' iPad mini!

Arrived about 9:53 a.m. this morning been playing with it and setting it up since that time. It's resting now being fully charged :) I'll be tracking flights tonight from China! Here's wishing everyone good luck for tomorrow :) Now trying to decide to wait on the Carbon Fiber Marware CEO Hybrid case or just get the smooth black one they already have in stock!

Going to take a nap now for tonight flight tracking!!!

It doesn't look like anything was "bungled," it just looks like the Verizon models are shipping a few days/week before the AT&T ones.

How is that not a bungle if you are ATT and the stores have Verizon ones available but not ATT? Wouldn't want to be the guy that was in charge of that, and Verizon will be celebrating. Being possibly available in retail for a full weekend or more before the other guy would be looked at as a major fail for the carrier....

That qualifies as a bungle in my opinion. They announced that LTE units would ship after wifi ones. They didn't say anything about an extra week for AT&T. I have been debating switching carriers, and would have definitely done so if I knew it was a week more.
 
My black slate 32gb AT&T ipad mini said left shanghai now it says AT shanghai, WTH did the plane do an about face? I ordered mine right at 3am I was hoping to be in the delivery date of Nov.16th but I got a confirm stating it'll be delivered on Nov.20th. Oh well patience is a virtue. :)
 
It looks like my at&t 16gb might get delivered tomorrow. Fedex still says that my scheduled delivery is the 19th, but my ipad is currently in Memphis and Fedex has two flights scheduled between 3-4pm that are going the Newark. Keep hope everyone!

I don't think we have heard from anyone with the Sprint model.. just curious.

I'm still waiting for my 32GB AT&T Black that I preordered at 3:05am, Oct 26... Day 4 of Preparing for Shipment.

Called and questioned about the order status. The nice agent, Beth, apologized for the inconvenience and sent me one of those Coupon codes for my next purchase at the Apple Online Store.

Thanks, but I rather have my iPad Mini! :mad:
 
I got lucky....ordered 2 iPad Mimi's and an iPad 4....had sold the iPad 2 already, so had nothing for a trip today....I was pissed that it was delivering tomorrow....to my surprise I checked the fed ex tracking early morning and it said out for delivery....was able to get a hold of all 3 before my trip.
