What...?? I don't really understand what is that sentance totally means on the FedEx website...Customs agent took a break and your Mini missed the plane.
Yes I know I have one coming from Alaska and another from china so trying to track both

Does anyone try Hold At Location?? I saw it on FedEx tracking website and it seems I could pickup at local FedEx store. If they drop off in the morning at the store, I could go there and pick it up instead of waiting at home... So anyone tried it before?? I just want to know they will drop at the store before deliver or after deliver at the end of the day...

I have the exact same tracking history. What I don't understand is why it shows "in transit" at Anchorage at 4:31 pm on Friday and nothing since. Shouldn't it have gotten somewhere by now?? Memphis.??

I did this, and got a call from the depot. The rep asked me if by chance the delivery was for an apple product, and she said that they have to make one delivery attempt, and then they'll hold it (it's their agreement with apple).
So it wouldn't be the fastest way I could get my mini on the delivery day... lol
I know, its so frustrating. I once went to my FedEx depot when they opened to get an apple product before it went out on the truck since I work a short distance from them, but they wouldn't give me the package even though the truck was still there: they said that they had to make an attempt and that I'd have to come back and pick it up when the driver returned. I've done this for non-apple items with no problem, but they said that they had no flexibility with apple.
Well my delivery was scheduled for the 19th. Instead FedEx showed up on the 16th at 9am. I didn't realize this so I didn't answer the door (they always just leave it outside). By the time I went out to check it was about 10 am. I checked tracking and it said it was back at the depot. Drove to FedEx and picked it up.
Woot, left Memphis at 2:09am... Not due to receive until Tues., but I'm almost positive we'll get it Monday.
So I'll get it a day or two after some stores,... not really disappointed. I called around today for giggles and neither Apple nor AT&T had 64GB Black ones anyway.

It looks like it didn't clear import customs before the plane left that night. That's why it has been held up.
I've used it three time. For me they didn't hold it at local FedEx store but at the terminal where the trucks are loaded.
1. Called day before delivery. When I went to pickup the following day was told it was loaded on truck the day before and out for delivery.
2. Other two times system worked as expected and package was available for pickup the following day.
Been stuck in Memphis since 1:12 am. Was hoping to see some movement this morning so that delivery might be tomorrow instead of the 20th. Looking less likely now.
Also odd that a few units that left later in the week from shanghai seemed to have caught the nonstop flight to memphis and have already reached their final FedEx local facilities for likely delivery tomorrow.
Just a very odd launch all the way around.

Mine left Memphis at 11:03 last night (11/17). No local scan today. Which makes me wonder if FedEx will do anything today. I hope it gets scanned early tomorrow morning and gets on the delivery truck. My delivery date still indicates a 11/20 delivery.
