well crud..... I tried to change my shipping to overnight and was told it's not available since it's coming from overseas..... so I guess I just have to wait until the 20th *pout*
 
I tried calling in as well, he said since it is a new product they already ship it as fast as possible so the shipping cannot be upgraded... Too bad I'm leaving that morning to go out of town...
 
I'm a little shocked that Apple would be delivering all of these iPad minis the day before Thanksgiving considering how many people travel for that holiday to see family. I would've thought they would make a lot stronger effort to ship these out earlier in the week.
 
woohoo! My shipping date changed from mid-novemeber to 11/16. I had to call Apple a while back because I'll be out of town when it would normally deliver.

Probably best not to believe anything until we see some tracking numbers come through.
 
Nov 21st for my 64gb black AT&T model. Since I, along with a huge percentage of Americans will be out of town that day I had them change the delivery address to my travel destination. Crossing my fingers it works out!

If that 16th would be the release date; is it going to be only for U.S? OR the countries which they always had same release date for the previous devices? (Like U.K, Germany, Canada etc.)

I'm in Germany and I want to know if it's going to be the same day with U.S or late Nov.?

This is very interesting... Can anyone confirm or refute the possibility that it could delay the order?
 
I hope we get some sort of conformation when stores will get them before these ship out. If the stores will get them on the 16th, I'll rather just go that route. I doubt Verizon stores will be swamped.
 
I would hope that those of us who got up in the middle of the night to order would at least get them the same day that they're available in stores. So if they'll be in stores on 11/16, then we should get them 11/16. Based on how quickly I got my Smart Cover from China, I tend to believe that 11/16 delivery may actually happen. We'll see...
 
I think Apple has shipped a few boxes in their time. I think they have it down by now. They tell me the 16th I will see it on the 16th.
 
Check your shipping dates, iPad Mini LTE's are shipping. Mine says it will be here November 21st the day before Thanksgiving I think!

I may do this also. Worth the $12.00! So does that mean it will arrive on Monday the 19th or does it depend on each person's standard shipping date. Mine is the 21st for standard shipping! How much faster would I get it?
 
Feel like I hit the lotto....mine said 21st standard shipping, I called Apple for fun just to see if they could move it up. Before I even asked, he said how about I get it out to you on the 16th...I said awesome! The he said how about a free Smart Cover, I said sure! He says what color, I say let's do green, already bought red. Before I get off the phone, I refresh my order page and it says the 16th with overnight shipping, and the green Smart Cover is on my order!

This kind of stuff never happens to me...very excited!

Congratulations on the Free case and expedited shipping. This is why I buy Apple products and pay a premium price when it fit's my wants and needs! Not saying everyone is treated this way, but I bet it happens more often than not.

I am going to call and try to pay for overnight shipping, but if not the 21st is fine with me! I'm so excited, and I just can't hide it....(don't know the rest of the song :)
 
I received my mini smartcover before the deliver by date so I'm hoping the same holds true for the mini itself.

I would NOT cancel your order until there is a concrete street date.

Holy crap, congrats! Was debating whether to bother calling in or not, and this just made up my mind lol... Yes, I know there will be people saying we're impatient and wasting their time, etc., etc., but come on. For them to be so liberal with the goodies and free shipping upgrades, I think they are acknowledging on some level that there was ambiguity with the LTE launch date and they are trying to keep people happy who have waited until now.

P.S. What time did you call and could you tell whether it was overseas support or USA? Just wondering if I call this early in the morning if I'll get someone who is clueless/unwilling...

Don't let him off easy... Tim washed and waxed my car and then mowed my lawn when he swung by with my new IPhone 5 back in September.

Call was last night about 9 pm. Guy said he was in Texas and just moved from Georgia. Apple has always been pleasant and on point, but never this over the top for me! Until now ( :

As a customer who got 11/16 shipping...

I paid the additional $12 for next day air and was given a 16 Nov delivery date.

Looked this morning and it got bumped to Nov 20 (my original date was Nov 21), so I just called back and switched to standard shipping to avoid the $12 shipping.

If you got a free upgrade, then you'll have it a day sooner than everyone else!
