Te iPad needs a real computer to depend on, that's basically all you need to know. If you don't own any computer at all get a Macbook.

Anyway, your studies, no matter what they are, will probably require you to be productive, so it's the macbook all the way again.

Hasn't this been stated before?

iPad... or iPod touch...

I would really like an iPad... and maybe even replace my iTouch since I cant get an iPhone from VZW... but only about 10 of my 100 app work on the iPad and I wouldnt throw away $100-150 for nothing.... and I would like a laptop too... soo what should I do?
Any sugggestions?

I agree cuz I might want the iPad if i can buy the $30 package of apps that resemble programs like Word Excel and Powerpoint for PC and I can also buy a separate keyboard if I choose... So i might just buy an iPad and keep my iTouch too... And I would get an iPhone so I dont need the iTouch or my other phone... but I have VZW...... not AT&T... so I still dont know what to do...

MacBook. You can then extend your experience with a iPad later on. I would have a hard time having a unit with no disc drive as my main machine.

I'd deffo get the Macbook Pro and the iPad; I own both and they're totally different devices; cheers.

iPad

If you already have an iMac or some other computer which isn't completely out of date I would go for an iPad. In spite of what others folks say you can do almost anything a macbook pro can do and it is more portable. The only reason I would get a laptop instead is if you need to access flash content alot on the go.

If you were to get a laptop to supplement your iMac I would certainly not recommend a macbook pro, I would more likely recommend the macbook air. Not sure how you are going to use it however so difficult to say. I take notes, surf the web, check e-mail, check social media, all within the iPad. So give it some thought.
