Please post back your experience of the Khomo case ? What is the material ? And is it compatible with the Apple Smart Cover ? It is just a back cover right ?

Really ? is the Khomo back case not compatible with Apple Smart Cover and keyboard both ? but on Amazon it says it does.

There are KHOMO Smart cases like this one: https://www.amazon.com/KHOMO-iPad-10-5-Inch-Built/dp/B072JTYM6T/ref=sr_1_1?

And there is a KHOMO back cover: https://www.amazon.com/iPad-10-5-Inch-Charcoal-Color/dp/B07215MYS4/ref=sr_1_2?

Seller's response to you question re: back cover, ASC...
Question:
Will this case works with apple Smart Keyboard?
Answer:
Yes, it is perfect for it.

I know, I have gone through the seller comments but also wanted to check with actual users on how does it fit the iPad and how is the quality ?

Received both the Jetech and Khomo cases today. Both very very similar. Both I feel are excellent for the $$. Kept the Khomo carbon fiber one on to start off for awhile. Quality on both is very good. Again, they're $15 cases.
Other than the carbon fiber what differentiates the two cases? Debating between both but can’t decide since they both look so similar and have good reviews on Amazon.

Somebody just posted here that the JEtech case has a very plastic, tacky feel to it.

Ordered and returned both the JETech & CTsing cases. Both were crap.

JETech covered up a microphone hole, didn't even cover up to the edge of the screen for the back piece and had a really bad plastic smell.

CTsing coverage was better but there was too much slack in the piece connecting the front and back pieces so lots of overlap. Also, the cutout for the lightning connector was too small. I have zero interest using a case where I have to pop it out to charge my iPad.

KHOMO Carbon on order. Usually had good luck with them. Confident I'll end up keeping until something better.

Like to see Evutec some out with a 1 piece (cover & back) carbon/kevlar smart case.

Like many, I totally agree it'd be great if Apple and Jony pulled their heads out of their collective asses and brought back the one piece Smart Case ala iPad Air 2.

The Jetech and Khomo both feel almost exactly the same. Back cover is rubberized. Doesn't feel plasticy to me. I like them both for the money.

Khomo carbon is nice. Had the same on on my iPad mini for two years. Held up great. Funny, my Jetech is alright for the 10.5. Holes all accessible and feels similar to the Khomo. No plastic smell.

For me, nothing different between them other than the front cover style. I like the carbon look better tho.

I just got my Poetic TPU case from Amazon and I LOVE it. I love the Pencil holder, and I love how the gray version looks on my Space Gray iPad. For the price I paid, this thing is fantastic. Much higher quality than the Moko one I got the other day--no sharp edges, no weird raised corners, and all the cutouts are lined up perfectly.

I Have the CTsing case. I have had neither of the issues you report. For the money, its a very capable case.

Which one did you get? Most of them look too bulky for my taste.

Jisoncase arrived today, manageable until Thurs when Smart Cover re-order delivers. The front cover will do more damage than protect, also no microfibre lining to cushion the screen:(

So basically; snug fit back cover of cheap case + :apple: Smart Cover + :apple: Pencil case (the sleeve is looking unlikely)

With a bit of precision shaping of the back cover I should be done with the case hoopla:rolleyes:

Thanks :apple: for driving me round the bends  , with your lack of full leather case strategy

I got this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MZ79FAM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It is SO much less bulky than the Moko I have been using since launch--very thin profile. Biggest difference though is that there are no sharp seams along the edges, and the lip that goes around the screen side fits PERFECTLY even though I have a tempered glass screen protector installed. I didn't have to wrestle it on to the iPad either--it just shifted right into place, and doesn't flop around when I touch the edges.

Seriously--this thing is very high quality for the price you pay. I forgot how good Poetic cases are--my wife had one for her first gen iPad mini that I was very jealous of.

Does anyone have the Incipio Clarion cover? Their site says it's wake/sleep compatible but it just doesn't work at all. Wondering if it's the case or the IPP.

Received my JETech case today and am really pleased with it. The rubberized back feels good and all the cutouts line up perfectly.

If Apple comes out with a case I’ll get it otherwise I’m pretty happy with the price/quality.

I got the CTsing case from Amazon as a temp cover. I absolutely love it and it's working great for the price I paid. No issues at all. Waiting on my Supcase from amazing. It should arrive at the end of next week. I had it on my iPad pro 9.7 and it was a great protective case. It sucks that I cannot use my glass screen protector with the new case though :(

I thought I would share the case I got today. Bought this off Amazon and it came in stock a few days ago.

I got one on eBay first, but the sleep wake did not function. It looks like they were aware and fixed it as there was a break in availability on Amazon and this one works.

I usually like my cases as slim as possible but I am really enjoying this so far. It looks nice and has good material that won't scratch the iPad. I really like the variety of angles, and this one even lets you angle all the way to the latch to get a keyboard angle - which is not common in folio cases. It even has a Pencil loop and a hand strap for one-handed holding.

I think the overall protection, feel, look, and angle options may win me over the thin cases. If anyone has any questions or wants images just ask.

You know the camera lens is sapphire, right?..... So can't see it getting scratched
Yes, but it can fracture if you're not careful. https://m.imore.com/yes-iphone-7-lenses-really-are-made-out-sapphire
[doublepost=1498623803][/doublepost]
If it is like the sapphire camera lens on the iPhone which I assume it is, it is not pure sapphire but is a sapphire blend/laminate that can be scratched much easier then sapphire.

See what I just linked to above. Difference between fracturing and scratching.

I bought mine at JBHifi as I assume you did and nope, no sleep/wake. As far as I can tell, there are no magnets in the flap.

Yep I got it at JB, I had returned the STM Dux + case which is just horrible, but not happy about no wake/sleep especially as the Incipio site says it has it. Thanks for confirming it though, I didn't think it looked like it has any magnets in the flap either but with the packaging it has there was no way to check it in the store.

I'm freaking out at that big ol' handle thing that's on the inside of the cover and will come in contact with the screen.

Reminds me of those flip phone cases that hold your credit cards and rub them against your phone screen

I'm planning on ordering the Contega in the light grey for a 10.5... I haven't see the equivalent Dodo case, so thanks I'll look at that. I think I would prefer the Linen to the leather. I like they designed it to be able o use the smart keyboard with it as well.

The more I think about this, the less I'm bothered by the adhesive strip, yet two other things came to my mind. First the elastic that keeps the case closed. I can see that stretching over time and being less useful in keeping the pencil in place.

Secondly, I don't think the contega has any magnets to automatically wake or sleep the iPad when the case is opened or closed.

Ok, so it does have the magnets, that's a good thing. I didn't see him promote that feature, or I missed it, and I was trying to observe if the iPad woke up or not with the case.

Well at least that's one concern off the list :)

I'm waiting for Zagg to to release their slim keyboard for iPad 10.5"

It's just a waiting game now but it has been 2 weeks, hopefully their now building units
