One point, Eric5237 is using KAKA New iPad Pro 10.5 = 9.4 ounces. Tech21 = 3.5 ounces. Slight but those ounces add up during a long read or browsing session. I think Tech21 does a fantastic job with protection. But no stand... There's always a trade off.

Very true! I really wish I could find a light case with a good solid stand. These Smart Cover type cases with the folding magnets are usually very flimsy in stand mode. I actually really love the case part of the Logitech Slim Combo and I wish Logitech would sell it separately from the keyboard. I like the Microsoft Surface type stand that it has where you can adjust the angle.

I’ve found that the ASK is the best stand for my viewing angles. With a light weight back cover from Amazon. Equals a perfect combo. Just pull the ASK off for a lighter holding device. Put it back on for stand or keyboard. The best accessory is the Apple Smart Keyboard. I have one for each of my iPad Pro sizes.

Check ebay. I got my ASK FOR $100 brand new.

I find it hard to believe no one is making a soft silicon cases for the ipad. Plenty of companies are making silicone cases for iphone the iphone x like Hoco, meanlove (below). All i want for xmas is a liquid silicone back cover that goes arounf the entire device like the HOCO below with a cutout for the smart keyboard. lol

PS i clicked on HOCO email like in the amazon product and sent them an email. maybe you guys should as well. The iphone ones are great. I would LOVE one for the ipad.

The ASK is a stand. I see that more as a restraunt menu or direction kiosks kind of tool. I have a case I’ve settled on with pockets, pencil holder and screen cover with on/off. strap. I’m finding myself reading more and more in the bed thus I’m in the hunt for a light weight case with a hand strap.

ASK = Stand.

I have the Khomo blue back but didn’t like the feel of it and was concerned about the gaps (I came from the ippro with Apple silicone back). So I tried a clear hard back but liked that even less so went and purchased the official apple sleeve. In the shop I was completely underwhelmed. £140 for what exactly?

However, after using it for a week it is a very nice accessory. All packed up it’s the same size as my Surface Pro but it is lighter and I use it to carry around my iPad when I’m travelling light. I’m a teacher so normally stay in one room but move for meetings so just slide the iPad in the sleeve. I use the sleeve as a protective mat and just have the Smart Cover.

Am I concerned about damage to the back? Kind of, but I love the 10.5 a lot les than my 9.7 (not sure why) so if it gets knocked up then: oh well - I’ll be keeping it for some time.

It is nice to use without a bulky back considering the side of it. So, try out a sleeve (3rd party ones for 16.99 on Amazon, identical size but look and feel is miles apart).

Been using the Gumdrop drop tech case for my 10.5 last few days.
End up with a few different cases with each device I buy. I always come back to gumdrop.
Fit and function are perfect.

So Burkley Case finally got around to re-releasing the "new version" of their back case and it's a mess. It's literally the old cases that have been chopped up and repackaged. The case I revived was garbage. The finishing is sloppy and the case has numerous scratches. I can tell it's been thrown around a bit. I'm very disappointed. Their products are garbage, I'd stay far away. I'll continue to use my 10 dollar TPU cover that works just fine.

Just received my ZUGU case. Good fit, give it a test fit a week and see how it goes. So far good feelings.

Hello folks,
I received a JTECH cover and i m pretty disappointed because in landscape mode, it does not hold well, it wobbles a little
In portrait mode, the cover does not flip into the back well, there is no magnet for the back
I am looking for a nice slick design cover, no translucent back cover because of the material, it will going to attract dustand scratches
Also not a fond of black color, most cases are in black color which i found pretty boring
I would rather prefer silver, brown or green/mint
Thans for any model suggestions
Best
Regards

I bought the Zugu case and now I use it all the time over my ASK. In fact, I find I prefer the Zugu with a lightweight Bluetooth keyboard over the ASK. This case is bombproof when standing open and I really like the multiple angles it supports.

Really disappointed in the options for a full case for the 10.5. I've had the Khomo case on my ipad since last summer getting it, and while it's been ok, it's really cheap, doesn't fit all that well, and is already cracked in a couple areas.

What I'm looking for is a leather type case (apple's) like I had on my old iPad Mini retina.

Anything new out there that people have seen that's really good?

If you're not planning on using a smart cover or the ASK, I would suggest having a look at the Moshi VersaCover. I've been using these cases since the first iPad Mini all the way to the Pro. It's been a pretty solid case that offers a bit of protection and the stand makes it usable while lying down.

In earlier pages, some of you related about fake smart cover, something really close to genuine smart cover
I found this

Same fake smart cover?

Thanks
At this point I would pay $200 for a genuine Apple Leather Smart Case for the 10.5" iPad Pro. I am not even kidding. I hate everything. I am beyond frustrated that Apple stopped making them. Hardly any decent companies make cases either. It's all plastic $5-10 garbage on Amazon. I used the Leather Smart Case every day for nearly two and a half years on my iPad Air 2 and it was case perfection. It looked great, it was slim, and it was very protective. Kept my iPad safe from toddlers. 7/5 stars.

Yeah, I got their email and was interested until I saw the price - $130.

well......I had placed an order on Lifeproof.com at 5.36am on Friday the 26th. The order went through and they let me believe that they had them till I called in 15 minutes ago to find out that they had ran out of supply and they never let me know....they said I could keep the order open and in 6 weeks they might have more in stock....I hate these guys...order cancelled...

That sucks. Might have more? They don't know their supply line? If you need something like that, they're the best but $130 ...

How do you all stand your iPad up with the Apple smart keyboard cover please ?
