I really want something like that but without the back part, and in red. Sigh..
Sena cases are usually top notch. I've never had one for an iPad, but phone cases are solid. I'm thinking of ordering this one for my wife.
I purchased the iPad Pro 10.5 Case, JETech Case Cover for the New Apple iPad Pro 10.5 Inch 2017 Model with Auto Sleep/Wake (Black) - 3052 at Amazon. Finish is nice; fit is less so. I'll use it until the market catches up with options that have a better fit.

I have just made my perfect case.
Apple leather Smart Cover and one of these:

I cut the front cover off the JeTech as I much prefer the Apple option then I had to make the opening along the side slightly longer for the Smart Cover to fit using masking tape and a hand hacksaw. I then sanded down of the sharp edges with a nail file and I have a perfect back cover. The Smart Cover fits perfect.

Second the recommendation on Sena Cases. I have had them for my iPhones and they are very good quality.
I received the following case today. IMO, it's the most similar I've found to the apple silicone case and Smart Cover or the original apple cases for the iPad Air 2. It's one entire piece and does not add bulk like most cases and has a microsuede interior. Differences...the back does not cover the entire back of the case like the silicone case (there are cut outs for the buttons/speakers) and the front cover doesn't turn the screen on or off when opened and closed. I can live with those drawbacks for $35. I can attach the 9.7 Smart Keyboard to the iPad with the case still on. I think it would be possible to hack it by cuttting off the front cover and using the apple Smart Cover with the back.
