I was rather pleasantly surprised by the JETech case that has been mentioned a couple of times on here. Decided to give it a go as I'd rather have full protection than just a Smart Cover.

It looked like it might be a little clunky and cheap but it's soft touch similar to the smart cover and certainly does a better job for less money!

I won't inundate you with pictures as it's been posted further up but here's one:

Ignore the annoying air bubble on the bottom of the front I can't get rid of it and can't be bothered paying for another glass protector

Hey, is the back panel covered in a 'rubberized' material, or is it just hard plastic? Thx...

So after ordering the Moko case that didn't fit, a very short fling with the Logitech slim combo and some time with the ESR case I mentioned earlier, (which I like, but also want an option I can use with the ASK I've just bought after returning the Logi combo), like others, I've taken to modifying the Moko case.

A Dremel, craft knife, small file and 10 minutes or so and I've cut the front of the Moko case, widened the side gap and camera hole, to create a temporary back case to use with the ASK, whilst I wait for the case manufacturers to catchup...

(Sorry for the link, I need to find somewhere to upload photos to for use on here)

Not perfect, but I've worked the edges smooth and think it'll do for a few weeks until something else is available when I want to have the ASK on the iPad.

I was eyeing this one as well. What don't you like about the hard back? The quality or material? Is it prone to scratches? TIA

It's nice. It fits very tight. I am already dreading taking it off. I just prefer cases that have a softer back. I was using a Khomo case for my 9.7 that I quite liked. I was going to get the Apple silicone this go around but of course they stopped making them.

My favorite iPad case of all is the Air 2 leather smart case. PERFECT. My dad is using it now. LOL.

Could anybody with a Jetech case let me know if it's easy to take the case off? Is the back a hard plastic or soft TPU? Thanks in advance.

I like to switch up the cases on my iPad on a regular basis.

Received the ESR case today, and as expected, it’s great. All the ports and holes line up, the case fits great and the cover has strong magnets too. I bought this as a temp solution until they release their Apple cover compatible back cover, which I had for the pro 9.7”

I chose this case in black, and it’s a bit of a fingerprint magnet, but as far as construction is concerned, I’d be happy to use every day.

It's covered in a rubberised/soft touch material. The inside of the back cover is a sort of rubberised texture too. Actually quite a nice case considering the price!
Thank you! Sounds similar to the Khomo cover I usually get from Amazon. Really very good for the price. They just got them in for the 10.5. I may try both this time.

I have removed the poor fitting Moko case and now just have a hard clear shell from amazon on the back with the Apple cover on the front. For now this is the best I have found.

mind sharing the case combo? i got the :apple: Smart Cover but sitting on the Sleeve fence .

Anyone know if there are any companies shipping 10.5 "skins" for the back? The stick on kind like these....

https://dbrand.com/shop/ipad-pro-9.7-skins

Stickerboy just posted iPad 10.5 skins today. I've used their skins on two MS Surface devices. The material is pretty thick compared to other brands. Back only for IPP 10.5 is $14.95 and there's a promo code for 35% off. (SB has consolidated all sizes of Pro skins under one link, ignore 9-7 in link below.)

https://www.stickerboy.net/collections/ipad-pro-9-7-skin-collection

DecalGirl still doesn't list skins for IPP 10.5.

I have one of the Moko clear flexible cases that fits with the ASK and it's awful. Based on a recommendation earlier in this thread, I've ordered a CTsing one, which will arrive Sunday. I'll whack the cover off it so my ASK will fit. Although I wasn't happy forking over for the Apple silicone back cover for my IPP 9.7, the silicone back cover with ASK is the perfect combination for my IPP so I am very disappointed that there is no Apple silicone back cover for the IPP 10.5. The Apple brand cover has a pleasant feel, fits perfectly, all the buttons are covered, the speakers are covered with matching holes rather than a cutout, and all the openings fit perfectly. It doesn't pull away from the edges when you handle them, either.

Just got my Jetech case in today and its actually really nice. Feels good in the hand and fits properly. I have a Ctsing case coming in which is pretty much the same case but with a TPU type back case. Since I really like the quality and strength of the magnets in the official smart cover, I might return both cases and buy the iBlason back case when its release and an official smart cover from Apple.

That all should hold me over while I wait for Zugu to release their case next month.
