I've had my iPad Pro for around a month and everything has been great, until a few days ago. I noticed when I was tapping on certain areas of the screen, particularly the edges close to the home button and FaceTime camera, weird, wavelike distortions were appearing on the screen. It's pretty much exactly what is happening in this YouTube video, but on a iPad Pro.

I have a Genuis Bar appointment on Monday, but I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue with an iPad before, and if so, how did Apple handle it?

I haven't even received my 12.9 from the Apple Store yet, and I'm already paranoid that I'm gonna experience all these issues  dammit Apple

Mine is FINALLY getting here tomorrow after almost a two month wait, and I choose to believe and have faith it will be absolutely perfect

While I didn’t do that, I’m sure they’ll replace it without a problem. It’s a 100% defective thing. The LCD is getting pressure on it from the bezel from, probably, not being glued properly.

Here my old iPad Pro 12.9 2015 story: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/ipad-pro-12-9-display-issues.1968718/

My older movies shows the bad and good iPad Pro 12.9 2015 on a soft carpet. A soft carpet, because few people argued that affected users were also pressing/squeezing hard from the back on purpose.

Bad version: https://www.dropbox.com/s/sj9wr2k05byfwyr/Video 20-04-16 18 59 13.mov?dl=0
Good version: https://www.dropbox.com/s/6w5qk8a2yx2bmhs/Video 08-05-16 15 10 07.mov?dl=0

An other thread to iPad Pro 12.9 2015 screen issue: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/ipad-pro-display-clicking-and-breathing.1937011/#post-22878772

Seems like they didn’t adress these manufacturing issues on newer iPad Pro 12.9 2017, too.

My 2017 12.9" started having an odd screen distortion issue.

I still have to contact Apple about it. It's barely 2 months old.

Any backlit LED screen will distort if you push hard enough.
Um... I know how LCD screens work. I'm barely touching it. This is my 7th iPad. None of them have done anything like this. It just started doing it a few days ago.

Sadly, the closest Apple store is 90 miles away.

If you have Apple Care there is an Express Replacement Option where they will send you another one then you send yours back.

Otherwise its mail in or carry in which is the consumers standard warranty.
