Hey,
I realized the other day that my beloved 12,9" ipad had some weird effects on the upper left halve, when I pressed it with my finger even lightly, there was some rainbow and shadowing effect going on. I called the apple support today because I thought that this was a clear case for the warranty.
But when I took it out of my case, I realized, that in fact the device had bent significantly in that area somehow.
It's really a mystery to me as I have the device almost only at home all the time, in a case from day one, it has never fallen down or anything. The only explanation I have is that It was in my backpack some day and i leaned against a pillar or something and there it must've happened. Bit it's really completely unexpected behavior as I imagine one must put HUGE forces on a device like this in order to bend.
I was adviced to go to the apple store and let them have a look at it in order to see if they'll replace it.
What would be your advice for me? I really feel myself not guilty, cause I didnt do anything unexpected to my device but it's broken now anyways due to obvious construction weaknesses just like in the ip6 plus I would say..
