I also had one small crash without the Apple logo. Still much improved over iOS 9.34.

I have had rare crashes on other iOS devices before. The upcoming update is dramatic improvement. One minor crash of a program in 4 weeks is much better than upto twice daily crashes.

Can confirm springboard crash when leaving apps still exists in iOS 10.0.1. The Apple logo has been replaced by the busy indicator during recovery.

No diagnostics were logged, which might explain Apple's difficulty in fixing this.

Am yet to have a crash in the latest build, but the last time I said this I had a crash shortly after!

I havent had a crash on 10 until yesterday but it was an app crash i think and just a split second black screen. The only reason I noticed is because my battery stats reset.

I'm also having crashes. 3 times this weekend on 10.0.1. Once when switching wallpapers ( not logged) and the others were when reading a story in Apple news yet these were logged and the largest process was WebKit. Crashes were the typical 298 springboard crash. At this point I think there might be hardware issue or design flaw. Unless it's very odd software bug they can't figure out. Very crummy to have to deal with this. Otherwise I'm enjoying iOS 10.

What's troubling is that while those of us here are having issues , are there millions of other iPad Pro 9.7 users that aren't having the problem? Or are they ignoring it???

I've definitely had a few on my IPP 9.7. Probably one every 2-3 days, randomly occurs.

Even with 4GB ram on my iPad Pro 12.9 I rarely get a crash but when it does crash it crashes like any other iOS device. What's more annoying is even with 4GB ram, Safari will not render the webpage unless I scroll down a page from any some websites. You get a white screen until you are done scrolling. This dates back to iOS 2.0 (back when it had that checkerboard and then later on the table cloth material background).

the springboard crash is unlike a normal crash, it'll only last for 5 seconds and the apple logo will show up (ios 10 shows a busy sign). ipad 9.7 version only
