Apple's new iPad Pro and iPad models introduced today include a woven one-meter USB-C charging cable in the box for the first time. Apple is also selling the woven cable separately through its online store, with pricing set at $19 in the United States.

The cable has USB-C connectors on both ends and is designed for use with the latest iPad and Mac models and a variety of other devices.

Apple continues to sell a two-meter USB-C cable without a woven design.

I love the woven MagSafe cable on my MBP. It used to take me years to get my cables this filthy and then if I wiped them clean I'd lose all my hard work. No chance of that happening with this increasingly disgusting bad boy!

Have someone a review of IKEA cables with Apple devices? Lightning has MFI and works very well, what about those c - c?

This is great! More durable cables = less waste. But it should have been done years ago. Now do the same for the iPhone lineup!

I have a couple of the Apple woven Lightning cables. On one hand, they do seem pretty durable. And the woven material does help distinguish it from all the other cables in my bag.

BUT the downside is: they really attract dirt and grease! After only a few months of use the ends already look brown and grimy from regular contact with fingers. Haven't tried cleaning them yet, but it doesn't seem like the grime will wipe off as easily as it does from regular Apple cables.

The one good thing they could of done would of been to put a MagSafe power connector on. Doing music and sure other things to require plugging in a external device like an audio interface than needs more power than the iPad can supply. So you need a hub that has power, be really great if the iPad had a MagSafe power connector to supply enough power and leave the USB-C port for other devices. This is why I dumped my iPad Pro and got one of the new MBA M2's. Already I used the MBA way more than I ever used the iPad and so nice to have OSX and not that toy iPadOS.
