I've seen so far just one Surface (pro, 3) in the wild at a client's office and I've seen 2 iPP's at the campus. (Compare that to the 100's of MacBooks (air, pro or even a few retina) you can spot in any auditorium these days).
But I travel a lot by car and I don't hope to see other drivers use an iPP. It's bad enough with all the phone distractions these days :p

Besides the one instant I saw it on a subway, haven't seen in the wild once in NYC

But I think that will change with a cheaper 9.7" iPad Pro

Yeah, why use an iPP when you can use a laptop with a "full" OS?

Im hoping that if a cheaper 9.7 inch Ipad Pro comes you will see a lot more of them.

In the UK for as much as I get out, I haven't seen one out in the wild. Then again I don't often see any tablets out in the wild. Every single person seems to have a smartphone though. But I don't live in or near a city.

Here in London especially on my commute to and from work on the Tube I do see quite a few tablets the majority of them being iPads. That said I've yet to see an iPad Pro on the Tube or anywhere else in London.

I often bring mine out to several cafes I go near my home, work, or downtown area(I live in San Francisco).
Since security reason, I don't want to pull it out and use on public bus/trains in city, there's lot of robbing and threatening and killing like crimes happening here, I even don't bring out iPad mini when I have it instead of iPad Pro, iPhone on public transportation or on my walk are also minimum, just because of those security issue. I see some people using iPad Pro at cafes, libraries, and their office.

Do you see any Surface Pro's?

Should add as others have, I see loads of Apple watches, they are becoming very popular. I think at work I'm one of the very few with a 6S too, but it's a real mix of Apple and Android phones where I work.

Not really. There are lot of robbing going on here, include of snatching iPod/iPhone/iPad on public buses or even at street. It's worse in some area of downtown, some area of mission, some specific bus lines. I heard many crimes related to those Expensive Apple products, like someone was walking downtown area with using his iPhone and suddenly three guys stood in front and around him and threaten him with either gun or knife(I forgot which), took his iPhone. Another one was running with earphone and listening music, so didn't hear someone coming from behind to rob her, the guy also threatened her with knife and took her iPod and iPhone. Snatching is happening like daily, very common. And yeah, it sucks, if you can't use cell phone outside when you need it without feeling unsafe, what the hell cell phone for? Seriously...people sick here, and it's getting worse :(
The area I live is bit off from downtown and pretty safe usually though.

Someone was recently shot to death point blank as they were pulling out of a mcdonalds drive through right in front of the police station in the middle of the day with plenty of people around. The shooter got away too.

This happened in SF. The world is CRAZY

I've seen a few Surface Pros but mostly when I'm having a coffee in my local Costa. I've seen three or four in the last couple of weeks.

When I lived in San Francisco between 1993 and 2002 I didn't have any such experiences or notice anything like that. It was as safe as any other similar city.

Granted there are security and danger issues in all big cities but not enough to restrict your use that much. I didn't have a tablet or laptop and had one of those cheap "dumb" phones back then but if I did I wouldn't have been worried about such things.

A potential business partner came in a couple weeks ago. He used and iPad pro and Pencil for note taking. He said he loves it, and has allowed him to go paperless on the go.

Just got back from a business trip to France. Saw four more iPad Pros - only one was using it for drawing. Two were taking pictures and the other one had the keyboard cover.

Also saw two at a learning management conference a couple weeks back.

Still hardly ever see it (12.7"), impossible to tell with 9.7" and it looks same as iPad Air 2

And I'm in NYC

I take mine everywhere. Starbucks, McDonald's, Dunkin Donuts, in the car and other places. It's with me almost all the time in a Swiss Gear case along with the Pencil with the Logitech Logi keyboard. Using it as a productivity tool and it has replaced my MBP. This response is coming your way from Burger King in Lakeland, FL.

Yes, I do see the IPP in the wild. Starbucks is a prime site and Disney resorts in Fl too. Even found on in the Crooked Can micro-brewery in Winter Garden, FL.

Ooo! I'll be taking mine to Disney in July!

Great Starbucks in Disney Springs near the parking garage and the House of Blues.

Did they change the name? When I was down there last year it was Downtown Disney. =)

Agreed - that is an amazing Starbucks! I went there in the morning for coffee and went back for their evening beverages! ;-)

I also liked the Starbucks at Epcot - Futurebucks!

Cool - that would explain it, I was there in February.
Going in July for my sister's wedding and hoping to get back again in October for the Learning 2016 conference!
