Got my Citrix X1 mouse but it is not pairing with any of my ipads (Pro and Air2). I have the latest cirix receiver and in sttings have the mouse icon open. I press connect on the mouse but don't get the "pairing" message. Anyone with a solution?

Finally figured it out. The Citrix mouse works great. I can't believe that it was an issue with the on/off switch. It is reversed so it has to be on the "off" position for it to pair with the iPad. Had to find out the hard way by doing a lot of internet searches. But kudos to the customer support of Citrix. I received my X1 on Weds and tried all night to try to pair it. Thursday morning I emailed them and they sent me a replacement on Friday!

another one here with the citrix X1 Mouse. it works perfectly with Jump desktop on iPad Pro. i Think is an amazing feature that apple should be add to be a real laptop replacement.

I think the ideal approach would be making only Remote Desktop apps capable of using mouse (and including standard mouse support). In fact, I find strange Apple has not approached the market with a solution (surely proprietary) for this, as it would make their ecosystem more cohesive.

Finally able to get jump desktop to run in my MBP. Support was good and help solve the problem. Typing and using the Citrix X1 mouse. I also downloaded the app in a Dell laptop. For some reason the resolution appears better when I connect to the Dell laptop. Overall am happy that I can use the mouse with my IPP. Total cost is $60 for the mouse and $15 for the iPad app.

Just looked at a couple YouTube videos. Wow. Pretty damn cool. The thought immediately popped into my head "how cool would it be if Apple made a real push to use this tech officially between customers who have both an iPad and a Mac", but for now this is cool. I use splash top 2, but surprisingly, I don't need to use it as much as I thought I would with my iPad pro. I figured I would miss having a real desktop OS a lot more than I actually do

I've been using Parallels access prior to finding Jump desktop. Jump is much better because of the use of the mouse and no yearly fees.

It even works with Ubuntu (and I imagine other Linux distros), although in this case there is no companion application for the server operating system and I had to talk with my network administrator. Using a VPN (compatible with iPad) and then built in Ubuntu servers for remote access using VNC+SSH (with jump desktop as the client) now I have access to all my needed servers using mouse and keyboard. In Ubuntu the mouse and image resolution are not so good, although they keep being usable.

I will analyze battery consumption with this solution along the next week and tell you about it.

Just got my Citrix X1 mouse together with Jump desktop and it's really great! The X1 was available in Germany (and many other countries outside the US) without problems. Especially with iPP this gives a whole new world doing remote work on Windows VMs. I can use all resolutions I like (1200*1600 is perfect on the iPP) and with the Google setup it works even through firewalls which normally block the RDP port without the need for any VPN. We used Teamviewer before because of the central access but this is also possible now with Jump Desktop. No need to buy a lesser Surface or Android Tablet any more for doing Windows remote work! The big Retina 4:3 screen of the iPP is so great for this that it even replaces my 15.4 MBP. Because I do all my professional work on VMs the iPP with the X1 mouse earns it's "Pro" name now....For this type of usage the 9.7 iPad is no comparison and the main reason I chose the iPP.

I just got in my new iPP and the larger size makes it quite possible to use it to remote into my office when I'm on the road. I'd like to make sure before I splurge on a mouse that my specific scenario will work though. I already had Jump and I use Cisco anyconnect for my VPN. My office computer is Windows 7 enterprise edition and set up for RDP. I've tested things out and it works beautifully. From what I can tell, both mice will work fine in this scenario? I hope so. I mouse would make navigation with precision so much easier. I do have the pen and it helps select things more precisely, but it's cumbersome to use it for work activities.

Thanks for any advice or assurances.

If you are able to connect to it using RDP the mouses should work. I used jump both with a VPN and without it (With the companion Windows application) and it works perfectly in both cases.
I have not used the Citrix mouse, but I imagine it will work as well, as suggested by other forum members.

Are these the only two mice that work with jump desktop or can you use any bluetooth mouse?

No, only mouses which can be paired with the iPad (most cannot) and on applications which have specifically been programmed to support it. Jump supports these two mouses (swiftpoint officially, x1 not officially). X1 works with Citrix apps. Swiftpoint works with another simple RDP application previously mentioned in this thread.

Thanks to this thread I ordered the Citrix x1. Since I use Citrix receiver most of the time this will work for me. Was not to pleased with the Apple pencil as a navigation tool.

Who is? five ipp enthusiasts on this forum

Okay thanks! You said the X1 works with Citrix apps but it also works with everything inside Jump right?

Some other forum users said this in previous posts of this thread. I cannot confirm you that, although I am aware jump, in its previous beta releases, was testing X1 support. You may go through the previous posts of this thread for further details.

$150 for the swiftpoint mouse is pretty steep.

I haven't used a surface pro but is it really that bad? For the price it's hard not to consider other options.

Jump had a 60 € coupon. It keeps being expensive.

Regarding surface ... Although I think iOS is not so good as it could, I cannot stand Windows ... I mostly use iOS or Mac OS X, and only when necessary for a certain application, Windows or Linux. Although I "like" Windows 10 more than previous versions ...

My ipad air 2 is primarily used for browsing and when mobile as a secondary display via the duet app.

For design work I need photoshop and illustrator, there is no equal alternative in IOS. If I could use jumpdesktop with a mouse and rdp into my mac mini with photoshop/illustrator I could essentially replace my macbook in most scenarios.

All of these additional fees and workarounds to get a setup to do some design work really have me looking at other options.
