I don't have the 9.7 Pro but use it with Air 2 which is the same size. It's not bad at all and use it for accessing EMR.Anyone tried this with the 9.7 iPad Pro yet? Thinking it might be too small for long term use but okay for occasional RDP work...shouldn't be much different to the Surface 3 I'm thinking wrt screen size
Yes an annoying issue. I lose the connection even just for a few minutes if I don't move the mouse.Anyone have an issue where you are using Jump Desktop and the Citrix X1 mouse and after about 20 minutes the mouse looses connection and won't reconnect until you exit Jump Desktop and kill the app.
Interesting. I haven't noticed that. I'll have to test it out.Yes an annoying issue. I lose the connection even just for a few minutes if I don't move the mouse.
Yes definitely a problem that I reported back to them months ago. They did correct the problem in their beta...tested it successfully. But they have not released the new app yet for some reason...its been in beta form since April. Yes...you may join their beta testing group here:Is the beta version available for download?
I just had an extensive Jump Desktop session (from my 12.9 iPP +Citrix X1, to my iMac at my home office) for well over an hour and there was no issues with the mouse dropping. During that time periods of no mouse usage, and so on.Yes definitely a problem that I reported back to them months ago. They did correct the problem in their beta...tested it successfully. Is there a way to mirror iPad monitor on a bigger screen?

Odd. I'm not complaining, but it is odd.![]()
Another alternative to AirPlay would be wired connection with a Apple Lightning to digital AV Adapter (HDMI) or Apple Lightning to VGA adapter.Awesome. I'll look closely this thread as I'm planning to use this combo for my professional work.
I have a desktop computer I use in my office but I'm travelling a lot / plus work from home when I can.
Still not sure if IPP 12.9 could suit my needs. I already have an Air that I use a lot at home for music, browsing, movies, books... everything. IPP 12.9 seems too big for my consumption uses...
Is there a way to mirror iPad monitor on a bigger screen? That would be awesome when I work from home and still can retain portability.
I think there's a beta setting they're working on for video and gaming. None of the Remote Desktop solutions I've tried have been close to allowing one to game on them. I've had the same thought (hope) as you though.has anyone been able to use this for gaming in any capacity? I'd love to get rid of my 15 inch rMBP, but I keep it for the occasional Starcraft 2 DLC content, and sometimes, rarely, WoW. So if I can sell it and get a windows laptop just to remote in and play on it, and keep my apple ecosystem intact, that would be fantastic
Maybe it's out already. Can't test it now but here's what I was talking about.Does anyone here have access to the beta and can let us know?
Using jump desktop and this new strange mouse the ergonomy is good enough (especially in Windows), I think I am not needing a laptop anymore. Both with Wifi (especially using high speed fiber access), LTE or 3G.
I now this may sound a little complex to implement, but at the same time not having to maintain an additional computer leads to important improvements. And I like the 4:3 display much more than movie-oriented screens from laptops.
Yes. Jump Desktop supports certain Bluetooth mice for use with their remote desktop software. The iPad recognizes the Citrix X1 and SwiftPoint mice, but the mice are only functional with Jump Desktop. (and probably Citrix's remote desktop software)Wait, you can use a mouse with the iPad?
Ah, I thought I can use mouse with the iPad directly.Yes. Jump Desktop supports certain Bluetooth mice for use with their remote desktop software. It works extremely well.
